Sorry I missed last week! Michael Jackson died. Hey I made it through like 7-and-a-half months since I came back to aLp last November without dropping a week. It’s been a crazy last two weeks for me, with a big launch at work, and like, 8 straight days of birthday celebrations for my kids (birthdays are like Hanukkah around here), that I’ve been kinda distracted. Enjoy today’s quickie, and I’ll be back in the zone for next week. I’ve also got some overdue blog posts I’ve been meaning to write and I gotta kick The Hive back into gear too.

It might seem I was inspired by this episode of the Ambiguously Gay Duo, but this song actually did come on over the loudspeakers while I was in the weight room last week. And I seriously had to stop the set of bicep curls I was doing. Good thing I was only lifting 12-oz. bottles of water instead of 20-oz., otherwise someone could’ve gotten hurt.

Random note about the Emmys last night: while presenting an award, Calista Flockhart, looking so skinny that Nicole Richie could probably eat her, said something like, “I almost fell ass over tit back there.” Stop me if this is obvious, but what was so shocking about it wasn’t that she said the words “ass” and “tit” on national TV, but it was that SHE HAS NEITHER.

True story. This happened at the New York Sports Club on the Upper West Side, maybe 4 years ago. I was in between sets at a weight machine, sitting on a step, when this really tall woman sits down next to me. She was somewhat attractive, if I remember right, but then again, I could only see up to her stomach. Not my type, though, especially since I was just as happily married then as I am now. So she goes, “What do you think about taller women?” … My answer was, “Iunno, I guess they have a right to use the gym like everybody else.”

Then she goes, “Cuz I don’t mind shorter guys.” SCORE!!!
