Okay, so of the three things I'm obsessed with, Predators and Aliens, H.P. Lovecraft, and Mystery Science Theater 3000, MST3K is probably the biggest, narrowly hedging out AVP.

So I'm just wondering, for those of you who have seen the show, which episode is your favorite? For me it's a tossup between Final Sacrifice, Jack Frost, The Day The Earth Froze, Pod People, and Time Chasers. They're all so great.

That other Santa Clause one is funny too, but I can't really remember the name. I haven't watched that show for years. Sad

"Each one has a dollar bill; my chain-letter scheme worked!"
"The pleasure mouth!"

(I prolly butchered that first quote. Please don't hurt me. Like I said, it's been years.)

So that's where they got it from in Fallour 2. You see, when you talk to the deputy in Redding, and he asks you what you are doing here, you can say: "I'm here to kick ass and chew bubblegum! And I'm all out of bubblegum..."

Actually, the original bubblegum line is from a movie called They Live, starring the wonderfully talented "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

GOBLINS!!!

I've been watching a lot of MST3K, and so far that one has been my favorite. That and Space Mutiny

Also, who was the better host, Joel or Mike? Mike tends to be funnier in the theater, but I think Joel was more entertaining in the between sequences.

No, not Joel vs. Mike! This could end in bloodshed! I don't know how many of you were around for the great Joel vs. Mike flamewar of '93. Still have the shrapnel in my leg. Laughing

Seriously, I love them both. I used to think Mike was better because he was more lively and awake than Joel, but I have gotten to appreciate Joel's comedic timing and low-key delivery. He flubs his lines more often, but seems more natural somehow. But I still love Mike.

I most sincerely love that movie. Deep in my heart I always knew there had to be an explanation for yuppies....

Bah! Joel was MST3K! The show started to whither from the moment he left, and it was only a matter of time before it died. Crying or Very sad

Dude, you tryin' ta start somethin'?? *brandishes tiny fists*

Embarassed Sorry, that was uncalled for. Laughing

Personally, I think the show did suffer in some ways like host segments and I definitely prefer Dr. Forrester and Frank over Pearl, Bobo and Brain Guy, but I think the last three SCIFI seasons were really awesome. They produced classics like Prince Of Space, Final Sacrifice and Jack Frost. Not saying they're better than Pod People or The Day The Earth Froze, but definitely great. I have lots of love for Joel and Mike.

I can never remember the names so I really can't say which ones I loved the most. Although the MST3K Movie: This Island Earth was pretty damn awesome.

"Whats that?"
