Okay, my roommate got the Tivo and oh, my god. This is my cheaper, easier, and altogether more satisfying alternative to dating now. They should give the guy who invented this a Nobel prize. Oh yeah, and my number too... lol.
So I'm trying to narrow down the endless possibilities into a short list of new shows I should check out. Right now the only two shows I watch regularly are Lost, and the Daily Show, and I think I'm not going to be able to resist (Tom Welling and) Smallville for too much longer.
What's everyone else watching?

Jeni, I only really watch the Daily Show regularly, but that's about it. Love it. One thing though, I don't like the way Jon keeps making side jokes about the Crossfire thing - you got a slam dunk, yeah, but now play it cool like it weren't nothin'.
My buddies swear by Chappelle's Show and the Aqua Teens, I don't think you can go wrong with those. |

Jeni, I will watch only four shows on a regular, must-see basis:
CSI (the original)
Without a Trace
Veronica Mars
24 (when it returns)
Oh... and I once commented that I'd watch any sporting event, even the America's Cup. |

Oh, god. That's a good question. I watch:
Surreal Life
Arrested Development
The Simpsons, (I'm trying to like it again)
and Nip/Tuck. |

for the record, I should reveal that I paid a couple of hundred bucks this Halloween to get a complete Tivo guy costume made and people often ask me if I am in a Tivo cult. That being said, now that you have the greatest invention on the planet, enjoy your new life of crap-free television.
My top Tivo shows in order are:
Lost
Alias (which starting Jan. 5 will air just after Lost and I will shiver at work every Wednesday with glee waiting for the evening to arrive)
CSI (only the original CSI)
Without a Trace
Monk
---
Second tier is:
Crossing Jordan
Scrubs
Judging Amy (yeah, I'm married)
JAG
---
I used to Tivo 24, but I'm done--how much crap can happen to one guy? |

Actually, I'm kind of glad this is Aqua Teen's final season, since they've resorted to lots of random violence to be funny these days...
I *will* give a big plug to The Venture Brothers as the new [adult swim] show to watch, especially if you've ever watched the old Johnny Quest series. |

I don't have Tivo, but I lust after it from afar. So expensive, for me anyway. But yeah, along with Venture Brothers and Home Movies, I'm all about Mythbusters and X-Play. I don't really watch much tv anymore *stage whisper* I'm intarweb-addicted.
Oh, and Red Dwarf, too. I'd watch MST3K faithfully too, if it were still running, but I do still watch my tapes and dvds regularly. Still funny after all these years. _________________ The depressing thing about tennis is that no matter how good I get, I'll never be as good as a wall.
