Forums on a new sexy server

I know the forums have been pretty rancidly slow lately. I've got access to another host so I'm thinking about moving, but it'll be a bit of pain.

What I wanna know is, do the main comic pages load slow, or incompletely, a lot for you? The "Throw us a comment" link makes a call to the forum database so I'm afraid when the forum's slow, the main pages are slow too. Lemme know what you've been seeing.

I'm having trouble with them too. I also got a bunch of error messages yesterday and couldn't come onto the forum at all. Then again, I am on dialup.

The frontpage works fine, though. I don't think it's slower than usual. The image always takes a little while to load because of my crappy 56k connection, but otherwise the page isn't stubborn like the forums.

I haven't had any problems with the main comic page. Sometimes the links are slow or won't load, but maybe that's just me.

The main page is normally not slow. It's the forum part that's naggingly slow sometimes. And I've got ADSL... fairly good ADSL... but hey, that's no reason for me to stop coming here, caus this is like my second home... and stuff... oh look, a bee!

Funny though, was just thinking about starting a topic like this myself...

I'm on broadband. For me, the main page opens a little slower, but not annoyingly so ( usually taking about 2 to 3 seconds ). The forum takes several minutes to open.

Is it faster? I really can't tell. I don't pay enough attention to things beside myself to notice.

I also had a problem that when I wanted to post something, I was send back to the main page... but after logging in and out (thanks to da Panda Man for that tip) I can post again... so blame him in the future Wink
