Aliens vs Doom Demons

After playing Doom 3, I realized how formidable the demons were, so I thought of something. If the Xenomorphs were to encounter the Demons from Doom (3), who do you think would win during this violent conflict? Would a Xeno Drone manage to bring down a Baron (Hellknight)?? Can the Cyberdemon shake off a Queens headbite? What would happen if a Facehugger lends itself on a Lost Soul? If a Drone stabs a Cacodemon, would it burst?

What are your thoughts?

Hell is... well, Hell. All other things being comparable (and they are. The doom demons are tough, can take a beating, and can dish it out too. These aren't scrawny little humans those aliens are fighting, these are the Doom demons. How many aliens would it take to knock out that freaking cyberdemon? Probably a lot), it's a battle between melee and ranged+melee. That'd be the fundamental weakness of the xenos in this matchup... not enough ranged attacks. I'd say the Doom Demons win in 4 out of 5.

The fact that demons have the support of the devil. Doesnt make up the fact that xeno's get the support of darwins evolution theory, wich states they can survive in every infiroment if they get DNA of a lifeform living in there.

What would stop Xeno's facehugging the demons and turn into Demon-alien?

Aliens would obliterate them so hard.

Well not all of the demons are even capable of being Facehugged. Like the Mancubus (no mouth), the Cacodemen (too big of a mouth), the Revenant (it has no lungs or anythign for a chestburster to live off from). But you do have a point, a Xenomorphed Hellknight will just obliterate like crazy.

But would a Xeno-Demon be able to throw fireballs too?

I think that we can safely assume that non-genetic qualities are not inherited by the xenomorphs. So, for example, any ability involving some sort of magic or any cybernetic abilities would not be inherited.

Next, keep in mind that the doom demons are capable of instantly controlling weaker minds. How this works is uncertain, but (I'm going by the Doom 3 demons, btw; their story was a little more fleshed out) they're capable of possessing all but a very small few.

While the xenomorphs are obviously intelligent, I sort of doubt that the vast swarms of them will be able to resist demonic control should a gate to Hell be opened.

Further, what about the xenos specifically spawned from the lower level doom demons? Especially being genetically modified versions of the demons themselves, wouldn't they be all the more likely to succumb to demonic possession?

I have trouble imagining how the aliens could possibly fare well against the demons if all but the most exceptional individuals among them are instantly possessed at the moment they come close to the gate.

Then again, perhaps the demonic possession only works on minds which are more prone to evil and violent thoughts. In that case, every single freaking one of them becomes a mindless soldier for the forces of Hell the very moment they approach the gate.

What if they're smart enough to stay away from the gate? Then they obviously won't be able to gain any ground in Hell, and the best they can hope for is a stalemate.

Interesting point. But you must admit, the Demons and Xenomorphs do have similar characteristics. They both usually rely on stealth and surprise to attack, some demons have no eyes, while the xenomorphs have their eyes under their cowl, the Trites have a hive-based colony with a queen (the Vagary) as do the aliens. But lets think of possible fights they may get itno and how they eould attack. Can a Xeno live after a hit from an Imp's fireball? Would a Maggot still live after a Drone bites off one of its heads?

I remember when DOOM2 came out and someone made an alien patch for it... It was tight but kinda sketchy; Always locked up or crashed.

The cyberdemon can be killed only with the soulcube (which the aliens don't know how to use), therefore Hells demons win by default with their invincible leader.

I'm pretty sure the cyberdemon will disintegrate by alien acid, just as any other molecular structure.

Now IF I was to delve into this whole discussion, I'd say demons. Why? Super-fucking-natural. Aliens are basically just animals. Smart animals with pointy teeth, sure, but still animals.

Also there's the whole numbers thing. Whereas aliens might have thousands, even millions of able little critter-warriors at their disposal and thrown at the Ruinous Powers, Hell pretty much transcends numbers. Then there's the possesion bit, the more varied ways to attack bit and a whole lot of other bits to create a big, steaming clump of twisting nether goodness.
