Fair point I suppose. Better the unwieldly bloated piece of crap you know though, I guess.

Computer won't connect to internets so I have to use my e-reader.
Not that I dislike the reader, just that it's twitchy sometimes and that makes it frustrating.

I like it that you don't want to hurt your e-reader's feelings too much.

Being a little bit nervous because I should make a presentation about energy production's moral for next Thursday but I didn't have time to do it today. Then the beginning of the next week is full of different kind of stuff. Fortunately, the topic is quite easy and I've sketched the whole thing almost completely. But still, I'm afraid I'll be doing that late on Wednesday evening and dying the next morning when I can't wake up...

Either the bots are getting smarter or the advertisers are getting more desperate...

You mean to day that the stuff about card games is real? Or are you unhappy that they didn't go far enough into strategies, etc.?

Nah, we had someone register on the site, post in the introduction forum, and then post a load of stuff in the movies section just so they could put a link to a few sites in the sig. Bot, or spammer - who knows?

I woke up with my wrist being all fucked. I'd honestly suspect sleep-mastubation, but that way it'd be my palm being all fucked.

This'd be awesome if it were actual sex and if I remembered it afterward. But, at least my unconscious-self is still happy.

Finally updated my Windows 7 with whatever that service pack that took forever... and now I am getting that "replace battery" notification. Computer is not even a year old. I found some posts about how I can turn it off, but I'm not sure if it is a battery issue or a Windows 7 issue. It could be the battery -- when I disconnect the cord the computer shuts down in 10 minutes.

When did laptops become so disposable?

I keep my battery disconnected when I'm plugged in to the mains to keep it in good shape. I can't believe how much trouble you've been having with Windows 7 - it's behaved perfectly for me, barring the odd argument with the Linux OS it has to share the laptop with.

For whatever reason I still haven't upgraded from Vista. Is 7 really all that much better? I'm kinda leaning towards getting an iMac instead, since I've been using my brother's Mac Mini for the better part of a year now.

7 is a whole world better than Vista. It's essentially the latter, only it works properly, doesn't eat up all your memory while idling, is much more stable, and also seems to be more backward compatible. That said, it's really a waste of time running it with anything less than 4Gb of RAM - true to Microsoft's form, it's not exactly efficient at what it does.

Maybe, my trouble is related to the brand (ASUS)? I think so. I had to return the first one I bought when I exchanged it for the same model. I agree, it has been more trouble than others. Not sure why other than I've had crappy luck. I hear Windows 8 is in development.

I have managed to give myself tennis elbow from a combination of weight training and swim training. At least I caught it before it got too bad - I've spent the last week wondering why on earth my fingers were hurting until I tried to fully straighten my arm this morning and it felt like someone had just taken a hammer to the inside of my elbow.

[quote="Aurelyn"]I have an ouch.[/quote

Sorry to hear. I moved my Mountain bike while re-organizing my garage and that was the first time I touched in in 2 years. Tires are all deflated. I must be one of the few people that use to mountain bike, moved to the mountains, bought a full-suspension bike, and then did NOT take it to the mountains. Hell, I couldn't even fit the damn bike in my last two cars!

Laughing

Fortunately you could fit your last two cars in the back of the Countryman you have now.

Actually, it doesn't have that much space in the boot. Can barely fit the "bigger" stroller in it. Hope you get well, though. Not much you can really do for your ulnar nerve.

Thanks! Ah, it should be fine in a few weeks. Meantime, I can concentrate on run and bike instead - no harm done. Smile
