Yup, the right side pred has a vaguely feminine apearance!
But (s)he's not taller or more muscular than the others as it's said. My opinion, that creature is a male. |

Well the female in the picture on my link still looks very authentic, almost like Stan Winston himself made it. Also kinda sexy. _________________ WHY YOU GOTTA BREAK BALLS? |

Hmph, she is. If I'd be a male pred I'd be drooling over her! _________________
They're well drawn, but I don't really like them. First of all, she's wearing earrings. She's got no ears. Secondly, she's too feminine in the face and body. She should be a lot bulkier and more muscular. The artist tried to make her pretty, but it really doesn't come off well. Thirdly, she really needs to cover up better. I can see her dirty pillows. And fourth...she's wearing freakin' earings! Why would a yautja wear rings there? There's nothing to pierce! Overall she gives the impression of a harem girl with a yautja face. But it is well drawn.
|

| I really don't dig this bigger, stronger females who don't hunt stuff - what's the point of them being bigger and stronger if they're caretakers, scientists and "politicians" of their race? If there is and has always been such a strict division of who does what among the Preds, evolution would no doubt favour males to be bigger and stronger, and females to be smarter. |

Female Pred action is yet another reason they should make an AvP3 set on the Predator homeworld! I mean, I liked AvP2 and thought it was muy cool to FINALLY see the Predator homeworld, but it would be an awesome setting for an entire movie, and not just a quickie scene.
That being said, the AvP2 DVD next month is supposed to have something on it about the Predator homeworld - I'm hoping that means perhaps they were doing some "extra" background work... and maybe this idea is already in the offing? |

First off, I have a question, is this site even active?? Is it possible I could spam the shit out of here and not get banned for months? Lol.
On a serious note, I would like the fact to be that female Yautja's were smaller and slimmer, it would make them all more sexier. And i'd really like to see a female in one of the movies. |

Ditto. If females were bigger and stronger (aka, better at killing), dominating their society, they would go out and hunt themselves. It makes no sense. _________________ You forget one thing: rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and

Ya but the female lion doesnt hulk over the male lion. I just think a big muscled up female Yautja would make me die a little inside. |

That was my whole point. Just reverse the genders. The point was that the bigger, stronger sex does not necessarily do the hunting in every species. It is conceivable that female preds may be bigger and still not do the hunting. Of course we have to distinguish between hunting for food and hunting as a social ritual, etc. _________________ Context is everything. |

| But if you think of the Yautja's mating habits, it couldn't be all that different from humans, the way they are designed, they are humanoid. There really isnt alot else they could do differently then humans. So wouldn't that look funny/stupid, a Male Yautja ontop of this big muscly female? EWW. |

Same thing's true of a lot of chimpanzee extended families, which are a helluva lot more like humans than Yautjas would be... _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!
