There was no vapor because that would have gone over-budget.

I've just ablated minerals and obtained their major- and trace-element compositions. So you're right in the aspect that there should be a lot of vapor. We do have the technology. Electromag weapons are looking to be put into use by the military in 2006. You can't dodge because the it is moving at the speed of light, and it's impossible to link a shot to a killer. Now imagine if this got into the wrong hands.

The point of my rant wasn't to prove whether War of the Worlds was scientifically accurate, it was to prove that Hollywood feeds people shit. The movie has already taken 77.1 $million U.S. from suckers and people who just wanted to see how shitty it was to save other people money, such as me.

Cinderella Man (Russell Crowe, Renee Zellwegger) is a superior movie by far and only made $3.1 million so far because it doesn't have idiot appeal. Ron Howard is an awesome director.

Can anyone who paid give me a heads-up on how much Fantastic Four sucked, i'm not paying for it but i predicted it would suck. Still, to follow suit, it is making money, prompting AP articles about how it saves hollywood comic book movies based on the amount of money people paid just to go check it out not knowing if it was good or not.

This has left many thing up for debate, enjoy.

I like teasing the panda because it gets really pissed off and that's fun to watch.

my posts are 85% serious, 15% bullshit.
like i really do hate WOTW, but i actually like canada, i have several friends who are canadian, and i enjoyed my time in Cobalt, Ontario. It is so peaceful there. Only 1500 people and shitloads of old silvermines.

Okay, for all of those people wh ownated to knwo, I have figured out wh ythe martians attacked those smaller, rural towns nobody talks about instead of the big city centers.

The martians wanted to use us as food. They bassically wanted to use us like cattle, so they tryed to herd us into hte large city centers where thye oculd keep better control of us.

Their goal was complete domination, not annihalation of our species.

There you go. now stop complainging aobut how the martians flattened a villiage comapred to New York.

...there is an entire site that explains the martians tech, species, etc. i found it all very facinating I think its eveofwar.com well there is a link that takes you to a fansite that informs you about every aspect of the story... including the 1988 T.V. series which im still trying to find on box set.

Weird thign about WotW was that when Wells wrote it in the late 1800's, he predicted many of the advancments man would make in the world wars, merely decades after the publication.

If we ahd the resources and funding we could also build a full scale human rendition of the Martian invasion fleet, complete with heat rays and tripods. We already have the technology.

Invincible Shielding is not possible, and was never mentioned in the book (I haven't seen the movie and the book is official canon.)

In the book a tripod is downed after a well placed artillery shot.
