Actually, probably cuz a human mind is sooo much more efficient in battle. Smart AI's (like cortana) are indeed, smart. But they wouldn't be abe to change and adapt like a battle hardened soldier can. _________________ You forget one thing: rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and

Second of all i would like to adress the quote:
| Simon_Says wrote: | First of all, compare Halo's gravity to Earth's gravity in Halo 2.
If you can answer this, please post. |
If the Halo's has a smaller mass than Earth than it means that it would have a smaller gravitational force on the objects that are on them. So unless u know the gravitational force on halo u cant really compare the weight of a Scorpion on Halo to the weight of a scorpion on Earth, even in both scenarios they are flipable, and MC jumps the same height in both places. |
Halo is spinning, it would exert centrifugal force that would effectively function just like gravity. That's how real scientists are thinking of how to make artificial fgravity in space, make the habitat a ring or whatever where the astronauts are pulled towards the aoutside due to centrifugal force. |

yea but without knowing Halo's mass and centripital acceleration you cant really say taht halo has the same gravitational force (caused by the centripital force) as the one on earth, thus u cant say taht a tank weights the same on halo and on earth, even though they are flipable in both places. (and dont tell me that im ignoring obvious evidance cuz stuff isnt the same as it seems) _________________ VAMPIRES SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH |

But if the gravity on Halo is so low that anybody can flip a tank, than MC is a lousy jumper. Caus he jumps fairly high, but this would only be because the gravity is so low... ergo, the T-Rex owns them both... _________________

Dude, MC jumps high cuz his legs and his suit are strong as hell, not cuz of low gravity.
Not every one can flip a tank either, just the MC, Elites, and Brutes.[/quote] _________________ You forget one thing: rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and

I'm just saying that if MC jumps this high while he is on a planet with low gravity, he isn't really able to jump high when he's on a planet with what we consider normal gravity. _________________

*sigh* Centrifugal force.
Okay, time for to bring out somthing I'm surprised noone concidered. Compare the gravity of Earth in Halo 2 to the gravity of Delta Halo 05.
Last time I checked, the gravity is the exact same. However we would need to test if halo 04 and halo 05 are of similiar mass and volume. This can be done, but I don't think any of us here have the time or knowledge neccesary.
But it is probable the halo installations are of similiar mass and volume due to the equal effective ranges of each halo's super weapon. _________________

lol i just gotta correct u one one little thing, weapons dont have to be the size of a monster to inflict a lot of damidge, so the halo's dont have to be huge in order to whipe out all life in the galaxy, so mass dosent have to do anything with the lethality of the weapon.
P.S: Thank you Simon for correcting me. _________________ VAMPIRES SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH |

Theoretically what you said was true. In real-life, a scientist, engineer, or a solider would simply laugh at you.
If what you said was true then why don't we have pistols with the destructive power of artillery? Why are pistols incapable of yielding the destructive force of artllery?
Becasue you can't make gunpowder that dense. _________________

Well, if we're just talking about destructive force... in Saving Private Ryan they made sticky bombs (explosives in a standard G.I. sock, with axel grease on it to make it sticky) which could be used to immobilize a tank. The damage they did is, I think, somewhat equal to what would happen if you would shoot at the tank's tracks with a bazooka. Now, what is smaller, the bazooka or the stickie bombs. So, size doesn't always matter.
Now, if we look at it more closely, what I just said was total crap. First of all, it's the rocket that you launch that does the damage, not the whole bazooka, so the size thing doesn't work anymore. Plus, you have to be practically right beside the tank to make the sticky bombs work... a bazooka can be fired from a safe distance.
In other words, this post is kinda obsolete... _________________

Because of 2 reasons (that is see anyway)
1. We dont have that kind of technology
2. It wouldnt weally be practical, i mean a guy would get blown back everytime he would fire the pistol, not really the thing you want while on the battlefield _________________ VAMPIRES SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH |
