At the request of a certain member who will remain nameless *cough Blaster cough* I'm starting an on-subject topic.

If the pred from the first movie (let's say he didn't blow himself up because of Mr. S.) got in an all out bout with the pred from the second movie, who do you think would win and why?

Shut up, it's all I could come up with on such short notice

Hmm, good one.

Well, the first Pred kinda killed an entire ex-commando/mercenary/rescue team (whatever they call themselves). The second Pred just killed a lot of coke-sniffin' gang members, police officers going in alone, civilians packing cap-guns and some donut eating Federal "top-secret-need-to-know-basis-look-at-me-I'm-flying-in-a-grey-helo!!!" dumbasses... so, you decide Razz

The one from number 2 would win...

Pred 1 only have plasmacammon + wristbaldes + arm device + cloak device

Pred 2 have ^^ and spear

in a hand to hand battle the first pred. would win

but in a weapon battle, as pointed out, the second has more stuff (net thrower!!)

Hand-to-hand, Pred 1 is definitely the superior. He whupped Ahnold's ass without a weapon, whereas Pred 2 got his ass kicked by Danny Glover. Without any booby traps or anything.

I'm also going to go out on a limb here and say that even with Pred 2's great toys, Pred 1 would still beat him. He's smarter, quicker, more used to hardship and wilderness, and they're both the exact same size (played by the same actor even) so dispite the net-thrower, I think Pred 1 still has the advantage.

Yeah I mean, what's cooler. Taking out an entire "rescue" team with only your plasmacaster and your wits, and then going hand to hand against the biggest bad-ass of the movie unarmed, or using all sorts of gadgest to kill a couple of coke-snortin' gangbangah homies?

That depends on the game I'm playing. For example, in AvP it depends on the character I am. Then again, I play them I think the way they should be played. As Alien I just sneak through the air ducts and mainly use my tail. As Pred I carefully examine each room I go into, quickly changing my vision modes, and then preferably using the Plasmacaster. Sometimes I also just enjoy walking up to a marine and ramming my wristblades through his stumach. As marine I just grab a gun and shoot all my shit at 'em.

Also with Killzone, in the multiplayer games, I just prefer grabbing a Chaingun, an ISA Assault Rifle with some grenades or a Helghast Assault Rifle or LMG and just charge the enemy. I also like throwing a grenade in a room, waiting for it to explode and then charge in. In the singleplayer campaign however, I just loooooooove sneaking around, carefully aiming and then putting a bullet in between those eery orange eyes. Unless I play as Rico... then I just charge in to a group of Helghi, killing two of them by slamming my gun into them and then just holding the trigger while doing something that resembles aiming at the remaining bald mofo's.

But while playing Battlefield 1942, or the mod Desert Combat for it, I prefer sniping.

So, is this better than all that role-playing?

In your facve fighting is better. W?hy the hell would you want to just sit on you ass and get some real lame ass cheap kills?

Instead you could have a great hand to/wristblade/claw action (if playing avp 2)

Hand-to-hand looks way better than a hole apearing in someones head.
