I guess a bright spot of the Borders Books closing was I picked up the first season of the British show for very little. Looking forward to seeing the chubbier Ricky Gervais in this show which will surely be enjoyable. Any fans of the "original"?

(Also picked up a copy of In Bruge on Blu-ray!)

The American version kinda starts off either like a cheap knock-off of the original or just good enough, but then starts doing its own thing. Basically, everything after the 1st season is pretty awesome.

Yeah, the original's great. So unbelievably cringe-making it's hard to watch sometimes though, in the spirit of much of British comedy. I haven't seen the American remake either.
