Official, 'real' leagues can fuck off. I like the minor leagues more than anything. Especially when jerkwad lockouts kept me from my favorite sport-cum-ice-covered-fighting-arena.

I do so love my Portland Pirates, and how much ass they can kick. They may not be the best team, but holy crapoly can they fight. One of them once got cold-cocked by the opposing team - that guy ended up getting his ass kicked en masse

Anyone else feeling the love for their local hockey teams? Or hockey at all?

its tough to still love hockey when every deadline let you down. to watch bettman on national tv announce the end of hockey while commentators are saying "there's still a chance" was enough to dishearten any hockey nut. now they're still negotiating and still nothing happens. oh well. if the owners play with scabs, at least the Rangers might have a chance to win. But, i will miss #11.

Actually, I get to quite a few Canucks games... when they're playing, that is. But hockey is third on my list of fave sports after lacrosse and soccer.
