started it last night. so far lookin' pretty awesome. |
It is pretty awesome, but it's incredible gameplay is hindered by the maddeningly repetitive campaign.
It's something, thankfully, that they realize and are supposedly fixing in the sequel. _________________ You forget one thing: rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and

Point Lookout, the new DLC for Fallout 3, it is awesome, though surprisingly difficult fights with the Tribals.
Oh yeah, Chinese Stealth Armor+Double-Barrel Shotgun=Death. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

Dammit, I can't wait for Mothership Zeta.
I'm betting there's some kind of new Alien armor and blaster... |

Bioshock, my neighbor just gave it to me, no charge. He just didn't like it.
I finally got to finish it, but I'm doing another run. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

Maybe if you weren't so stupid, you would not have to do it again.
But I agree Braid; is fun. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

Yes it; is. Great score too. I'd play it now but I got the RROD (for the second time) a few hours ago. _________________

I'm seriously considering getting an Elite. Everyone I know who's had one for a while hasn't gotten the RRoD and my first 360 DID get one in less than a year.
Anyway, I was playing Soulcalibur IV for the first time in ages. I'd forgotten why I hated playing online so much, but then I remembered when everyone I played against picked Yoda/Kilik and spammed the same fucking move every time. |

After so long...
World of Warcraft still. Can't seem to help it, however, I can proudly say I dimmed down my game time to a more healthy amount.

I was reading about that little thing...
What the fuck?
I never played the original games, but did they have aliens in them? If not, then what the fuck... _________________ You forget one thing: rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and

There were 'aliens', like things that were called aliens but weren't really aliens, and then there was an actual alien somewhere in the first one I think...
But it'll be awesome. I might just end up buying the Game of the Year edition for PC instead of downloading Zeta on XBL marketplace, but I don't know if I can wait that long. |

There was a special encounter where you could get the Alien Blaster. Insanely overpowered laser weapon, that uses the sun to reload. So as long as you're outside, infinite ammo. _________________

| There's this Alien Blaster in Fallout 3 called the Firelance and it's overpowered and sets things on fire, but that's it. It uses a really rare ammo type instead of the sun... |

I found a regular alien blaster inside that Enclave Monolith-tank-thing. They Enclave were kind enough to suplly over 30 alien energy cells for me to exploit. An easy thing to do is if you ever find the random encounter in the Wastelend or if you find the crashed ship, ask Dogmeat to scavenge any nearby ammo for you, if you ask him to find a weapon he may even find a replacement blaster. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

I thought of the Dogmeat thing after I spent, like, an hour making sure I found all the cells...
When I first got him I wasn't actually sure how to use his find command. |

I've played three different characters, and I have STILL not found dogmeat! He's never where he's supposed to be. _________________ You forget one thing: rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and

Damn you! At least be glad you're playing Fallout 3 and can experience Dogmeat again.
Ah well... I'll start up Fallout again. At least I know where to find the little bugger. _________________

Alien Blaster doesn't use the sun to reload, it has Alien Energy Cells. It is a great gun, though.
Right now I'm playing Red Faction Guerilla, both the campaign and the multiplayer, and enjoying it quite a bit on both fronts. Also going through an Evil playthrough on Fallout 3, just finished my first trek through The Pitt. I'm at level 9, and focused mostly on melee and heavy weapons (having already done small guns for my good guy and energy weapons for the neutral one, I wanted something different). _________________ I am what I am, and that's all that I am.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about one of the first two games' Alien Blaster.

I found him on accident the first time. |

Ah. I never found that gun in Fallout 2, but then I didn't have a really stat for whatever the category was that determined random events. Fun game, though. I have the Fallout Trilogy and was looking forward to going through the first one and Tactics, but unfortunately I did not notice at the time of purchase that the game is a DVD-ROM, where I don't have a DVD drive on my PC. So I feel fairly stupid. _________________ I am what I am, and that's all that I am.

| I was considering trolling Ebay to find Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics, but then with the Game of the Year edition of Fallout 3 coming soon (with all the DLCs, which I'm definitely getting), I figured they'd probably release another special package with the older three games in it for a reasonable price. |

I got Fallout 1 in the original big cardboard box. You know, the way they used to sell videogames. _________________

Seriously? After all the patches, that's pretty weak. Bad enough that Deathclaws still hurtle into the sky for no good reason. _________________
