Smoking? Probably. Drinking? Not necessarily. Though you will get some strange looks, there is no problem with you drinking a glass of wine (preferably red) with dinner. Also, after you have you baby, you will be comforted to know that ingestion of beer will help promote breast milk production. So, after you finish pumping at night, have a beer.

Of course don't pop one down the hatch every day. Save it for special occasions. Also I suggest you abstain completely for a couple months or so. I'm pretty sure a more developed fetus will be able to handle a mother's alcohol than an embryo.

You could. Unless there are "special circumstances" or comprised function, the maternal liver will filter out the alcohol of 1 glass.
