Yours truly.
My warlike race of friendly and diplomatic butchers will forever expand in glory!
I really wish they'd put more work into the first four stages as they did into the space stage, though. _________________ Why must the government repress our god-given right to no pants? |

well, as i've only just recently started playing it and have not reached the space stage yet, i can't really comment on that bit.
but thus far, its pretty fucking awesome. my friend brandon got me into it. it was really funny when his little brother and his friend got on though. those two were obssessed with trying to create this giant penis monster. |

I've played it but it gets boring after a while to be honest. The most fun part is the Creature Stage, I think. But I always seem to end up with some alien like monster that just goes around killing everything.
Then in the Tribal Stage I always seem to end up with a tribe that just goes around killing everything.
Then in the Civilization Stage I always seem to end up with an army that just goes around killing everything.
And the Space Stage was too grand for me to keep me interested actually. The entire game is like "Eventually become the winner to go to the next stage" but the Space Stage is more like "Do this, do that, do it all at the same time and keep doing it!".
But besides that, it's a really fun game. I can really recommend it. _________________

As I have stated in the EA fails thread, I'm not going to get any EA game because it's simply impossible to buy it, one can only steal or rent it from EA. I decided to skip Spore a long time ago, because it just really wasn't my cup of tea. _________________

what is it then?
and i second Aramor, who, i think, delivered an ultimate, and perfectly accurate, summary of the Spore experience. basically, the lower on the evolution ladder, the more enjoyable the game. not very good for keeping a gamer around for long. _________________ i have no time for anal love

It's an experience.
But I decided to pass. My PC simply would not be able to run that behemoth. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

You mean your PC is crappyer than mine? I mean, I thought I couldn't play it, but it runs semi-ok.
But my PC is kinda weird with that. I can play Half-Life 2 fine with settings on highest, except I've got loading times of about a minute. But BF:1942/Vietnam plays like crap, with the settings on low. _________________

Some engines are better than other's. What would make Spore chug though? It's not exactly the most graphically advanced of games. _________________

Well... the game is running perfectly smooth. It just somehow it's a little late with loading the graphics for the other creatures. As in, I can't see them even though they're there and I can select/attack/etc them.
Shouldn't be my videocard though, it's the best piece of equipment in my computer. _________________

Maybe my PC can run Spore. It can run Oblivion pretty well, so Spore may be compatable. But oh well, I'm not going to try. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.
