| Whatever you don't do in real life, you do in video games. Or you can just play Zelda... Link's left-handed. |

I want a game in which you can play as a psychic who actually goes into people's minds and directly confronts their neuroses, phobias, etc.
For example, to cure someone with arachnophobia, you'd be platforming through a web-filled wilderness and outwitting (it'd probably be sort of a puzzle game) legions of outlandish arachnids.
Dentophobia? You'd be attempting to escape a macabre dentist's office...
and so on and so forth.
I just think it would make a well-varied puzzle/platformer game. _________________ Why must the government repress our god-given right to no pants? |

I think most of the ideas aren't "innovative", merely improvements on previous genres. Little Big Planet is a 2-D platformer done really well. Reviewers say its innovative, but its just an old game executed very very well. Rhythm games like DDR and Rockband can be called innovative because it brought a whole new genre of gameplay. Wii games offer new gameplay, but not much depth, you figure out the mechanics after a few games and there nothing new to figure out. I call it electronic exercise equipment gathering dust in the corner.
A mod I would like to make is an FPH(First Person Hugger) you run around giving people hugs. Weapon spawn points give you presents or cakes or cookies you can give people. First team to decorate the opposing teams christmas tree wins. _________________ "You have to quote from books to look clever. You can't quote from films. I thought the Torque engine was cheapest. And its really easy to develop for Wii with it. I figure the hugging part would work better on wii controllers _________________ "You have to quote from books to look clever. You can't quote from films. If you quote from films you just look like a geek." |

I realized something while playing Half-Life 2 the other day; despite the fact that you can die in games, you're not really mortal. Any time you die, you can just load your last quick save and go back to where you were before.
So how's about this: a game where you're invincible. You never, ever die. Which isn't to say you can lose; you can fail miserably. But the game goes on. It doesn't restart or re-load at the last checkpoint or anything like that; you have to keep going playing with the outcome of your failures and successes. You could restart the game at the very beginning, but that'd be the extent of it.
I imagine the setting as a colossal open-world game, but with plenty of direction. The biggest problem with open-world games is that I always end up getting muddled and confused the first time I play them, and constantly end up walking in circles. Some simple directions would help, jeez. _________________ I'm outtie, y'all. Lates. |

Yeah, if only there was some sort of aid that pointed you toward your current objective in games like GTA, Oblivion and Fallout 3. That'd be really useful. _________________

The only thing of note Sean has ever been associated with is this:
