I finally got this game, and I love it so much. The good/evil choices have so much more impact than most games! _________________ You forget one thing: rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and

Actually I think either John DiMaggio as Bender or Maurice LaMarche as Morbo would make even awesomer life narrators.

Recently got my 1000/1000 xbox points. According to Bethesda, there should be downloadable content starting in January. Looking forward to it. _________________ "If wishes were horses, we'd all be eating steak." |

From what I've heard, there are going to be 3 expansions. And the final one pretty much changes the way the game ended.
Also congrats on that 1000/1000, the only thing I'm actually having trouble on is finding the last Behemoth. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

notice how i always lag behind with games? well, i'm a cheap bastard which means it's very rarely that i buy original games. fortunately, i'm also a patient little bitch. these two features work great in combination, especially when you have a best buddy who doesn't know what to do with his money, so he buys a game after game. i am a strong believer in borrowing.
anyway, about Fallout 3. i've started it over Christmas, and haven't gotten very far yet, but i already know what it tastes like. i must say it's good. the best thing about it by far is how they made a genuine effort to make it stay true to the feel of the originals, with all the minute details in their place. i don't understand how people can bitch about it not being "real fallout". by god, it is! not as full of geeky allusions, i admit, and generally somewhat less funny and more solemn, but other than that it's as immersive a Fallout experience as we could wish for, the atmosphere of the endless wasteland is appropriately epic, and v.a.t.s. is truly a blast.
will be back once i've experienced more. _________________ i have no time for anal love

| Alright, so, uh, I haven't played this one yet... but I'm seeing it everywhere and it's making me crazy. I've never had the time to pick up anything other than Call of Duty 4, which was a long time ago (that and I'm a lazy bastard). Tell me this... do I need to get up off my ass and get it? |

Fallout wasn't really that funny.
At least not as slapsticky, tongue-in-cheek overdose funny as Fallout 2. _________________

| I havent played anything that seems to be like Fallout (at least, I don't think so), so I might just "borrow" it from a friend. |

Still haven't got it. Probably need to pick it up soon.
Frankly I'm having trouble getting anywhere in Fallout 1. I make a char, make it out of the cave, walk all the way to the other Vault, and then I'm lost.
Or maybe I'm just playing too much Left 4 Dead.
Thing is I'm not going to play Fallout 3 until I've completed the first two. Yeah. Expect my review in 2011. _________________

Nope.
Then again, I've played Fallout 2 way too much. I already know every detail. Sometimes I come into a town and already collect certain stuff so I won't have to go back there later in the game and stuff like that.
Still, it's fun. _________________

I'll bet ye've got all sorts o' barmy questions! *Mimics a heroic stance* Greetin's, I have some questions... can ye tell me about this place? Who's the Lady o' Pain? I'm lookin' fer the magic Girdle of Swank Iron, have ye seen it? Do ye know where a portal ta the 2,817th Plane o' the Abyss might be? Do ye know where the Holy Flamin' Frost-Brand Gronk-Slayin' Vorpal Hammer o' Woundin' an' Returnin' an' Shootin'-Lightnin'-Out-Yer-Bum is? _________________

Then you too can be one of those forum douches who pretends to have been there from the start, buying a copy on day one and bemoaning the fact it wasn't more of a success. Truly it is the Hüsker Dü of videogames.
Also, when you do get Fallout 3, kids, be sure to take Comprehension. Best perk in the game. _________________
