MG6: Meekijken Gewenst 6 (in other words, if you're watching this movie and your below the age of six, someone should be watching it with you)
6: six years and older only
12: 12 years and older only
16: 16 years and older only
18: 18 years and older only (this rating is actually only given to porn movies)

There actually was a Predalien in the first AvP. 
I liked the first one. A lot. I'm happy to hear it's getting more love.
I also liked Chronicles of Riddick, and yes, Escape from Butcher Bay is better than either of the movies. |

AvP got rating 12 (years and older) in the Netherlands... which is a guideline... doesn't mean you can't bring younger kids to the movie... It's your own responsibility

Predator 2 and Men In Black 2 being better sequels is arguable. I hear that people don't like Predator 2 quite as much, although the Predator's new toys are definitely SWEET. MIB 2 I don't like because of the crappy astronomy and the overcampiness.
Temple of Doom was good mostly because Ke Huy Quan kicks butt.
I personally loved AvP, but like most of us have said: We...want...WAR!!!
And I definitely think that Anderson and the folks at Fox, if they've listened to any of the stuff on the Internet about the movie, will certainly be able to refine their process to make an AWESOME sequel.

I definitely prefer the first Predator to the second. There are some neat toys, yeah, but I found that a huge part of what I liked about the first was the suspense of wondering where the pred was, who was going to get it next, what the monster really looked like. The first time you ever saw that mask come off... Plus the characters in P2 are all pretty reprehensible. Misogynistic cops, drug lords, sleazy tabloid guy- everybody except for Danny Glover was just jerks and I wanted them to die. It takes a lot of the tension out of a movie when all the characters suck so bad you're praying for the monster to get them.
Plus, there was a lot of retread in the second. The "medication" scene was just a repeat of the one in the first, with the added stupidity of using drywall as a supplement. The "Ugly motherfucker" line, again.
Plus Mr. Original Hansome Devil pred was way cooler than any of the new guys. If it hadn't been for that damned log...
But I agree MIB was better than MIB2. Much better.

Predator I better than Predator II. Simply because of Arnold. Although, Pred II had the best weapons of any movie ever.
Maybe AVP II features more Alien VERSUS Predator and less aliens versus predator and human friend. Oh yeah, and one alien killing two predators, What the hell is that? |

They really aren't all that different; they just use letters that are short for audience guidelines, rather than numbers.
G: General audience. All ages admitted. (Doesn't automatically mean the movie is *for* kids, but it's kid-safe.)
PG: Parental guidance suggested. Some material may not be suitable for children. (Pretty much like MG6, but very slowly dying out; most movies get either G or PG-13 now, if they're down in this range.)
PG-13: Parents strongly cautioned. Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13. (Very like 12, except younger than 13 aren't actually forbidden. A lot of theaters treat it that way, though.)
R: Restricted. Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian. (Like 16, only the cutoff age is 17. Some states mandate age 18 instead of 17.).
NC-17: No one 17 and under admitted. (NC means "No Children." Replaces X. Again, some states raise the cutoff age to 18. This usually goes to porn as well, though it's a trendy thing now to make a movie that woyld be rated NC-17, then cut it to R, for the publicity and future DVD sales. I guess porn movies still put "X" on the packaging because it sounds dirtier; XXX never actually existed - it's a promo tool for porn.)
There are a few older movies floating around with outdated ratings on them (some M for Mature, especially), and a lot of old ones have no rating at all.
Now, if you want a mish-mash, you should see our freaking TV ratings. Sheesh.

According to Mission Hill (which is a cartoon and probably not a very reliable source by any means) The "XXX" rating was created some time in the 50's to label any movie that exceeded the standards for an "R" rated movie at that time, which was showing someone die on screen or something lame like that. This might have just been set up for a joke, but you never know.

Those preds were unblooded warriors, and the whole pyramid stuff were a passage test for them. That's why they had only basic "equipment".
Their truelly problem was the lack of vocation. They just played hunting.
Celtic and Woodraf were some phatethic predators who got their ass kicked off. (I liked that part!) |

Did you not see Scar's Combistick?
As for the Pred-Shuriken not being a good weapon, tell that to the Xeno missing half a head and the Facehugger missing most of its internal organs. And at least it's acid-resistant and reusable.

Yeah I didn't like the preds faces in this one they looked DIFFERENT!!
the mandibles were kinda always open and just hanging there a lot too. The armour is suhweeeeet though. |

I agree, there was definitely something off about Scar and the rest of them, when it comes to faces. I think Scar has too many teeth, since the original Predator only had two fangs on top, but that could just be personal opinion. And the mandibles didn't work quite right, either.
