Yes, it was taken in East Java, on the slopes of mount Bromo, an active vulcano.

Here's a couple from a hike I went on a few weeks ago. In the top one you can see the Skellig islands a long way off. Sceilig Beag has the world's second largest Northern Gannet colony on it (something like 40,000 breeding pairs!), and Sceilig Mhichil has a 6th century monastery.
