When's the last time I've made a thread of actual importance?
It's been a while. So anywho...I've been in a poetic mood as of late and been writing poetry like mad. I just finished a poem called "To that 'higher' feeling." And its about addiction. Let me know what you guys think and maybe everyone could post up a couple of their own work.
To that 'higher' feeling...
BURNING WITHIN MY SOUL
SHAKING ME TO MY VERY CORE
BLOOD PULSING
EYES ROLLED BACK
TWITCHING SKIN
FLUSHED RED
COLD SWEAT
HIDDEN DESIRES
MY BREAD AND BUTTER IS MY BROKEN DREAMS...
NERVES GOING
ANXIETY
CAN'T BREATHE...
LUNGS STRUGGLE...
BODY'S COLD
SKIN PALE
COLD BREATH BETWEEN MY LIPS
NERVES STOP
EYES BLIND...
DREAMS LOST
DESIRES FOUND
SOUL GONE
OVER COOKED...
My habit is satisfied.
It was supposed to be written in Caps. That's how I wrote it in my poetry book. I don't know what compelled me to write it, but I just entered it for a poetry contest so...yea. Enjoy!!

i recently wrote a song, which is big news coz it's the first song i actually started and finished since a year ago or so. it's just a stupid song, but since i don't write poetry it'll have to do.
anyway, it's about the current situation, me unable to get my paper done and deadline dangerously closing in.
the chorus goes like this:
still got nine days til september
nine days that keep me alive
still got nine days till september
that's almost twice as many as five

I'm working on a song at the moment. So far, I've only got the chorus, which goes like this
I want to be (aha)
The fool that I am
just let me be (aha)
As silly as I can
The song will be about this guy (or maybe girl) who's in an affair with another guy (or girl) but there's something that this other guy/girl finds more important than the relationship, which is actually perfect. And (s)he keeps telling the protagonist of the song that the relationship is perfect and (s)he would be a fool to leave, but if that is so, the protagonist just wants to be "the fool that I am"
It's meant to be a happy, upbeat popsong, kind of like the masturbation song I posted in the Music section a little while ago.
I actually dreamt the chorus a while ago, so I still have to find out if it doesn't actually already exists.

Anyway, poetry... I once wrote a poem to my girlfriend in the style of "10 things I hate about you" only I made it 10 things I love about you... can't find it back though.

I think it was more the theme of the complicated love triangle that made cfos think of you when he read my post.
