Well, it depends on which game you are talking about... and trust me, you don't want me to list all the games I've played and the favourite weapons in there... _________________

I played Ratchet and Clank the other day and...I'd have to say my favorite weapon EVER is the Sheepinator, only because it turns bad guys into sheep. _________________

Too bad it almost never works in Source without leading. Also what game? The AWP is friggen everywhere.
But now I think I should restate me answer.
The Black-Mesa Zero-Point Energy Manipulator from Half Life 2
a.k.a. The Gravity Gun. Pick shit up and fling them at enemies. Direct grenades and energy orbs back at enemies. Punt headcrabs and cars. Walk into firefights behind cover. Sever zombies, crush cops, and set fire to combine elite. For offense or defence, the Gravity Gun is useful in just about any firefight, anywhere, anytime. _________________

I second Simon's choice. Hm...I wonder if the portal gun will dethrone it. Is the portal gun even a weapon? _________________ Context is everything. |

Source mostly is my stomping ground for awp whorin', but I haven't dust busted the cobwebs of 1.6 in a long time, especially because of BF2, CS: Source, the Source Zombie Mod (which is the greatest most intense mod I've ever played), and my various other not so pleasant addictions. _________________ "Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love." - Albert Einstein |

Zombie mod is easy. Take an auto-snipe, get a few partners, and cover a constrained (preferably long) hallway. They drop like flies that way.
Helpful pointer, in cs_militia, you can jump on the vehicles behind ct spawn. You won't be knocked off, and the zombies can't get you unless they're player controlled, which they never are. _________________

All of you seem to miss the fact that this thread is called your "favorite video game weapon" not "favorite FPS game weapon". So I'll break this ice. My favorite weapon is the Siedge Cannon from Homeworld Cataclysm, there nothing like a huge impodeing ball of plasma that, when it hits or detonates, explodes into something that makes a nuke look like a BB gun. Second the Particle Cannon from C&C Generals third the Ion Cannon from the Homeworld series. _________________

oh damn straight
some servers though only allow smg's and shotguns, no rifles or machine gun, plus the zombies have 150% speed and up to 10,000 hp. if you want to check out what I'm talking about, go to maps that start with zm (instead of dod or de or cs) where the zombies are player controlled, which makes them slightly more intelligent. _________________ "Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love." - Albert Einstein |

I kinda like Supersheep from Worms 3-D. Few pleasures in life compare to a flying, remote control sheep with a red superhero cape. That explodes on impact. When I used to play Dune 2000 a lot, I played using a trainer... which gave me unlimited super weapons... it was pretty cool to keep launching Death Hand Missiles on the enemy's base until you saw the first one on your screen... yes, they are certainly one of my favourite weapons.
Along with the Ornithopters ofcourse... _________________

hmmmm, anything that flies in Battlefield 2 except the F-35, never fly one because if any enemy dog-fighter sees you, there is NOTHING you can do to keep from being roasted by missiles. And talking about BF2, is anyone absolutely revved and ready for BF2142? I already pre-bought it on ebgames and its only a matter of time before it comes out!
And yes Mango, I had my fun with the Bugbait in HL2 and I couldn't agree more. _________________ "Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love." - Albert Einstein |
