|
|
I went to the Scifi con today at the Richardson Civic Center in Texas, and I waited for 20 minutes until Mr. Koenig arrived, and when I walked up, the lady sitting next to him said "There he is!" And when I stood there, there was silence for a whole 30 seconds. I couldn't speak, I was sweating like crazy, and my hands were shaking. Finally, I said Hello, and he smiled and was very very nice. I got him to sign my 2nd Season of Star Trek TOS and I took a picture with him! It was amazing! After that, I left, and saw a bunch of guys dressed as Klingons walking around, and some guy walked up to me and sold me a picture of Scott Bakula for just 5 dollars!
All in all, it was a totally awesome day. _________________

| I met my hero once. And then he punched me. Turns out, Jackie doesn't like pictures, but he was only joking. Heheh. We laughed after that, and then he signed my autograph. It was the happiest moment in my life... until what I'm going to post in the unhappy thread happened. |

I once met a whole bunch of famous people. They were all (semi) famous dutch actors. You see, they were filming a movie at the place where I work, and I was there to help my dad with something, and the actors were sitting outside and I talked with them for some reason... think I talked with some of my colleagues... anyhoo... and one of the actors (a very attractive woman btw) asked me if I could find some plastic cups for them.
Yeah, it wasn't really that special. I think most of them suck pretty hard anyway because they mainly play in soap series. _________________

Congratulations on one intense moment it sounds like Spocky.
But I'm confused, a guy sold you a picture of someone? Just a picture? Any autograph on it? I'm missing something I know it... Maybe this character Scott Bakula is afraid his soul gets stolen by cameras so a picture of him is extremely rare. _________________ "Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love." - Albert Einstein |

No, it wasn't signed by Scott Bakula, it was just a plain picture of him, but the type that they sell at the cons. He wasn't there sadly, so no autograph was possible. Plus, I met Peter Mahews, the guy who played Chewbacca on Star Wars 3-6 _________________

| That would of been cool. The guy who goes "ARARARARRA!!!" all the time. I know it wasn't him making the noise, but I know of people who can make the noise perfectly. Like I was next to a Wookie. |

It wasn't as cool as I figured. Probably because I was still in shock after seeing Walter Koenig. But then again, Peter Mahews looked really, really bored. Plus he wasn't dressed up. _________________

Huh. Weird. Yeah, I guess meeting someone you would hope to meet is more exciting than meeting a bored version of the Chewy guy, but still...

| I don't know how to spell his name correctly, but I mean the guy who played Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spider-man. |

| Well, it was around the time he did S2 so that's why I referenced it to Spidey... |

Oh, my bad. I thought you didn't know who the horse-riding gun-shooting wolf-hunting spider guy was. |

Yeah, he was Chekov from Star Trek The Original Series. Can't believe you didn't know that, helmet boy, especially after the redshirt reference on the choose a career thread. J/k, now you know. Come to think of it, I may switch my avatar to Chekov for a while. _________________
