I pwn this game. It's so great, and fun as hell. I love playing it. My bro claims to be the best, but he hasn't passed Medium level, and I'm already on Expert (2 levels above him). So all in all, I pwn, Guitar Hero fun, who agrees? _________________

Great game, both of them. I kick ass in this game. But it's not like playing a real gutar though.
I'm excited thought that Guitar Hero 2 is coming out on 360 later, and that the the controller is going to be modelled after a Gibson Explorer. I'll be like a frickin' rock star. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

Yeah, the 360's controller is gonna be so much cooler. I mean, the Gibson SG is a cool guitar, but a friggin Explorer is so much more cooler. _________________

Well, I resisted getting this game for so long, and then I cracked. And, speaking of crack... _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!

The PS2 - I'm holding out on getting a 360 until it becomes a reasonable price and they release something exclusive to it that I really want. _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!

| I'm digging the game for the 360. I have that problem when you start playing medium/level above medium -- freakin' nose starts to itch! I'm still workin' on getting 5 star on medium -- got about 8 songs left. Dividing my time between this, Viva Pinata and Oblivion. |

I usually itch my nose with the headstock of the guitar - same as I would when I was playing a real guitar. I'm really finding 20+ years of playing classical and flamenco a big help with the game on Expert, although my strumming is still a bit weak... _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!

| A friend of mine who also plays "real" guitar had a tough time with the slower stuff. I've heard mixed opinions as to whether extra musical skillz helps out. My wife was a piano player and she gets through songs on a quicker pace then me, although she also just might be better at the game than me. Quite some time ago, I tried getting back into playing guitar. A friend of mine was very talented -- he could play the Children's Dance on classical -- that song freakin' rocks -- Alex De Grassi -- check it out if you dig on the classical. |

I think the biggest help if you already play guitar is left-hand stamina, although muscle-memory plays a big role in some of the techniques that mimic real guitar forms, such as the trills and three or four-note hammer on/pull off combos. I could just be talking out my ass here tho! _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!

Practice, my friend, practice!
Personally, I'm not sure I have the gaming attention span to put the time in to get really good at tt. Too much like work. Although I derived enormous satisfaction from beating Jordan on expert last night. Only a three-star but still... _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!

Greatest lyrics ever!
Btw, am I alone in thinking that 'Yes We Can' is the worst song written in any era, for any instrument, ever.

Not at all. But am I alone in thinking that if Tom Cruise were to write a song, that would be the worst song written in any era. Because Tom Cruise... he's fucking Tom Cruise. _________________ "Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love." - Albert Einstein |

I think Tom Cruise singing Yes We Can would be far worse than anything he could come up with himself. _________________ Da Fro-mastah of da aLp Forums!

| Last year, there was a big ruckus amongst people about Eddie Murphy singing in "Dream Girls". How quickly people forget Eddie Murphy cut a cd many years ago. My vote: "Party all the Time" by Eddie Murphy. |
