This reminds me of an Eidolon in Final Fantasy IX. The god of them, the ARK. He was fucking awesome because he WAS a Transformer! Here's a video of him transforming and doing his shit!(The game is in early 2000. Don't be hating.):

Don't mind the music and the deformed characters, I know it's corny to any non-FF fans.
