Teachin' ain't all dat. Sorry, spoken by someone jaded by the profession. Teachers, especially at the high school level have a tough, thankless, low-paying job -- much like your current one, by the sound of it. Teaching at the college-level pays better, but you have a lot of whining to deal with and stupid committee meetings to attend. Teaching at the grad-level is nice because, for the most part, the students WANT to be there and are interested. Teaching at the medical-level is... well, the pay is often the best. The whining... the worst. Freakin' gunners.
Once in a while, you get a nice comment from any of the above. Some of my favorite comments from evaluations:
How to improve the class:
"1. segway scooters, jetpacks"
"Class was long and sometimes ver hard to follow when lectures last 2+ hours" -- well, don't sign up for a class that is offered once a week from 6pm to 8:30pm.

What's wrong with your job? Don't you feel special that you assisted in bringing children joy, by giving them a toy they wanted? Seeing them happy and joyful. I say it's a job that helps the soul. Me, all I do is kill the ass-holes on society.

Teaching can be very beneficial, but also hectic. If you have the gift to be a teacher, then much power to you. ^_^
Any job involving retail or dealing with the public can be trying on anyone.  I once worked for a time-share in which the members were sometimes not the nicest, let alone the most patient. *gags* I won't even go into that; it makes me want to destroy things...or spar.  |

My job makes me want to kill!! Azrael can you imagine facing hundreds of parents hellbent on getting a particular toy...and then when we don't have it they get demonic on me. I work in customer service. It's not a happy place to be. I get screamed on by parents everyday. I hope the parents in this forum isn't like that. Cause I'll be sending Az over there to murder you and your family. Merry Christmas...assholes.
I'd rather be a teacher and not have to deal with it. And as for being a high school teacher...I know its a thankless job. But sometimes there are those kids who makes it worth it. And that's what you have to live for. You have to love the kids and love your job no matter what. And that's what I want. I want to see kids walk across the stage to get their diplomas and sit there knowing that I helped them through their 4 years in high school make it this far in life. It's just something I have in my heart. A feeling of destiny. I want to teach and I want to write. And I think that's all I need.

Sorry, but I don't murder children or infants. It's just... not cool to me. Even I have my personal restricitons. Unless they're the fucking Anti-Christ... But on the parents, only if they had it coming. Those are my targets. The stains upon society and humanity.
But yes, I miss Concerned as well. It had alot of great moments.
