Thats not quite how their society works  they dont have soldiers, think of them as a big tribe :O and if you want to see just how organized they are read the comic books "Aliens vs Predator: WAR"

Personaly id LOVE to see 500 preds ambushing the enemy...

i'm gonna go with Preds for their obvious intelligents (advanced wepaons etc) .... don't get me wrong aliens are alright ... i guess its cuz i suck with them in avp2

Aliens are fun in AvP2 (wall-walking is such a massively-underestimated convenience), but the Predators and their intelligence as well as their technology would be unbeatable regarding a species focused almost entirely on melee combat. Who's to say the Predators don't have a Death Star of their own with which, should they so desire, they can utterly exterminate the Xenomorphs?

Well, yeah, until things get out of hand. Then the Preds set us up the bomb. Unfortunately they usually get taken out by their own weapons, but that's the price of having the last laugh.

I just watched AvP again during breakfast (which for me started at 11:00 ) and I just thought (just now, not while watching AvP (you know, I should really stop this... you know, with the brackets and all (AAARGH SHUT UP))), Anderson would've really f'ed up this movie if he made the Pred on top of that pyramid in the flashback-ish scene laugh like the original Pred... yeah, definitely

You just gave me chills with that.
One of the problems of the movie is that there's about one roar that the movie uses over and over again, and it's kind of annoying. The original Predator made a variety of sounds, like any creature would, but AVP overused the roar. If they did the laugh too, it would have been like, "Dude, get your own ideas!"

According to the commentary on the DVD of AvP, the ramp that the pall-bearer Preds were supposed to climb was really slippery, so I imagine there are a lot of outtakes somewhere of four Predators (which ordinarily look enormously threatening) slipping and sliding up a 3-foot ramp. Hehe...I snicker just thinking about it...
