I was surprised that there wasn't a topic posted like this yet...So let the chaos begin!!
Whose side are you on, Alien? Predator? Both? and WHY....

(I obviously like Alien more, but Predators are pretty tough competition)

FYI, for those who haven't seen the movie yet (LIKE ME), if you're gonna reference AvP, use the Spoiler tag...

As for me, am I allowed to have an opinion without alienating (ha) a bunch of fans? Well, screw it, it's not even close, I'm an Aliens man. Though I do enjoy playing as P in AvP the vid game more than as the A.

Hmm, tough one. Pred's are way cool of course... but Xeno's also kick ass (actually they'd rather bite in your ass, but who cares). So I'll have to go with the Facehuggers. Wink

wwell, whsoe my favourite? this was a tough one. i mean, preds are cool right? with their futuristic technology, and their willingness to bloew themsevles up in order to elliminate the enemy? cool. but the downside is how easily they can be facehugged. if a pred gets a facehugger, it has jsut handed the aliens the ultimate killing machine: a predalien. but if a facehugger leaps for a predator while the preds wearing its mask...the pred will incinerate the facehugger. however, that said, i like the predalien the best. but what would you call it? alien or pred?

Anyway, presdon_is_cool...you should be careful when you talk about the predallien....xeno.morph will haunt you in your sleep, then probably attempt hosting you and bringing you to the Queen's hive and making your inards explode .... wheeee exsplosion...or something of the like.
She probably doesn't care for ANYthing that is half Predator

Although....it is fun when you've got a competitive friend who likes Preds, you know...something fun to rant about! Very Happy

I definitely have to go with the preds. I still play AvP2 b/c it's so cool to be a pred. Just give me a speargun and let me get to work.

Btw, a predalien is an alien, just as an alien that was born from a human, dog, etc. is an alien.

Predators, no question, hands down. I've been a huge pred fan since I was pretty young. And I totally agree with inkmonkey's reasoning. They have an interesting culture to go with their bad ass looks.

Predators are cooler for me, hands down. They're smart, deadly, and honorable. The Aliens are mindless killing machines--not really my preferred style. The Predator's got all the cool toys, and even without them, managed to very nearly whup good ol' Arnie.

However, there is a second side to this: In the AvP2 game, unless I'm playing against only humans, I do generally prefer to play the Drone. Sorry, but my aim sucks, and it's just too much fun to climb walls AND pounce to get around. Predator is still way cool against the Humans; cloak, crouch, and wait for the kill... Cool

As far as this topic goes, the /\ |_ | C |\| S win it... hands down. Unlike the Preds, which have honor and all of that pesky moral nonsense, and they are indeed warriors to be respected, the Aliens are the pure incarnation of animal rage, the animal need to reproduce, and the animal need to feed and protect their local biological community. They cannot be stopped because they share the same goals. Their individuality exists only insofar as it aids them in completing the Queen's goals. So killing one doesn't stop them from taking over your soul. Twisted Evil

If I were being more creative, I would have had the brains to come up with a better quip. As such, I deserve a spankin' and I'll gladly take one from L337!! Wink
