Has anyone else hear about this? Apparently there's going to be 2 TV series'. A cartoon, and a live-action one. All I know about them is that there going to come around 200z or 2008, and that one of them will have smoething to do with "bounty hunters"
I'll watch this no matter what. Unless it's awful. Remember the Droid Adventures? And the other show about the Ewoks and the little girl?
But the Clone Wars series kicked ass. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

I don't think it'll work... now that all the movies are there, everything is filled in. Clone Wars was awesome because it showed you what happened between Epi II and III. And it humor in it... _________________

Clone Wars is aweosme, it's got more wit and emotion and overall coolness than Epi 3. and i will stand by my opinion. _________________ i have no time for anal love

I'm so sad I missed watching Clone Wars.
I will now hunt for it becasue I hear it depicts General Grievous the way he was meant to be. _________________

Indeed, he kicks major Jedi ass in it. Also, you get to find out why he had that nasty cough in Episode III.
I was forunate to find Vol. I and II used at a Gamestop I used to frequent. Killer series, reallly well done. I was fond of Samurai Jack on the Cartoon Network and the same folks did Clone Wars. _________________ "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."

thank you!!!
i knew i'd seen the same animation style somewhere, but i couldn't remember where.
and yes, Samurai Jack was great too. i especially enjoyed the big Scot guy, with his bagpipes and a machine gun/wooden leg. _________________ i have no time for anal love

I second Salvatore seconding Smileypen. Samurai Jack is awesome.
I guess that means I third Smileypen. If it is additive. I fourth Smileypen if it is multiplicative. Any input on that one Blaster?
Anyway.
Samurai Jack is almost worth plugging in one of my TVs.
Maybe I will...

Go with "third." As we are simply counting the number of favorable responses, I can see no basis for multiplicativity. _________________ Context is everything. |

maybe it should depend on the emotional charge of the response.

Uhm... I fourth it then... Samurai Jack was wicked.
And so is Clone Wars... I just loved seeing how Grievous got his cough... it made me StarWarsgasm...

Now you're on the topic... one scene I really hated in Epi III was when the shit hit the fan. The Windu getting killed, Palpy getting deformed and Ani getting Vaderized scene... the acting just sucked... whenever I hear them speak, it just misses something. Except ofcourse the Power, unlimited power!!! and What have I done? parts... _________________

oh yes! finally someone with the same opinion.
the most important scene in the entire saga was the worst acted one. it's so lame when Anakin looks from Bling Bling to Palpatine and back, with a look af a mistreated child. mommy, why are you shouting at daddy?
and they both go like, choose me, Anakin! and he's like "dark, um light, no, maybe dark... um, i don't know..."
jaysus, i remember how embarrassed i felt watching it in the cinema. i wanted the scene to be over already.
i always thought it would look better if he just rushed into the room all red eyed and sliced Bling in half without thinking. that would at least fit with the Jedi-are-emotionless-Sith-are-driven-by-passions paradigm.
Blondie??? wtf!? _________________ i have no time for anal love

And it also shows how incompetent those Jedi extras are... when the four of them enter the room, everyone gets killed besides Windy... they should've brought some more reinforcements.
I think btw that the thing that made it suck so hard is that the tone of their voice changes too much... there's just something wrong with the voices.
Anyhoo... Blondie... you know, Eastwood's character in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly... _________________

*slaps forehead* d'oh!
yeah, thanks for reminding me of those pathetic jedi posse that Mace dragged with him. man, that was painful. almost as painful as seeing all those kickass jedi getting whooped like amateurs by clones with blasters.
you are a goddamn jedi master, you can defend yourself! you know, blaster shot deflection, force jump, force push, stuff like that... *zapp!* oh, well nevermind. _________________ i have no time for anal love

Yeah... but but but... they were taken by surprise... and there were like 5 Clones shooting at them!!! At the same time!!! And unless your name is Yoda, Darth Vader, Obi-Wan or Luke you die!!!
Wait, actually those first three also died... go Luke!!! _________________

That was probably the most frustrating thing in Episode III in my opinion. He was a GOD in the Clone Wars sries! But in the movie, he dies in a dissapointing way. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

The cartoon will be made first. It is a comptur animated Clone Wars, more or less. If it is successful they will work on a live action show, centering around new characters and some older, lesser characters.
Boba Fett's supposedly in it. _________________ You forget one thing: rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and

I'm afraid the live action one will stink because it will all be Generic actors and the SF budget will be lower than the movies. It hopefully woudn't look worse than St:TNG, but I fear it will be campy.
The other part is, since it's for Television, Lucas will probably emphasis the more childish parts of his mythos. The fans want it to be cool jedi and bounty hunters, but Lucas says his stories are made for children.
(that's why the droids are being cute and annoying during the Jedi massacre. That was really hard to watch and wasn't cute or funny. It blunted what should have been a really tense conflict. )
I bet it will still explode the ratings because of all the people who live eat and breathe star wars. |
