After being a bit bummed by Bernie's choice of train station for today's comic, and first thinking I'd slam him for it, I decided to be more constructive and see if anybody else has places they'd like to see Abe and (Poltergeist?... Proctologist?... aahh...I remember) Preston show up. Here's mine. My reasons for each is either because I like the place or because I think it'd have situational value for the boys:

East Village
- Tomkins Sq. Park
- Taisho Yakitori on St. Marks Pl.
- NYU dorms
- Forbidden Planet or St. Marks Comics

Staten Island Ferry

New Jersey
- Meadowlands
- Newark

Cultural Places
- Lincoln Center
- Metropolitan Museum of Art

On a bus (been in cabs/subway)
Downtown/Midtown (like to see them deal with "suits")

Yes, the Cube! I'm exposing my ... umm. .. preference for the east village. Speaking of exposure, I really didn't need to see the balsies jewelry link on today's comic (silent dating).

Hey, I could supply background images for a holiday in Bangkok! He could play a cheezy midi file of that song from Chess. Ugh....

There's an immigration office near my work -- why, no one will look at you suspiciously as you take pictures of a federal building! Smile

I'm going to be in NYC next month. Can't wait to see the city at Christmastime again. But I know I'm going to be disappointed if I don't see Abe and Preston. Wink

I'd like to see them try ice-skating with the Christmas crowds. I'd also like to see the two of them in the MMOA.

Port Authority?
How about the Holland Tunnel? They could be cranky commuters in an NJ Transit bus. Smile
Battery Park, too.

Wouldn't mind Museum station in Sydney. They used that for one of the MATRIX train stations. Where he's running away from the Twins. I think. Yeah, transdimensional and all that. Not the white one. That's a little too generic.

It's way out there and there's really nothing there but a boardwalk and an aquarium, and it's such a hassle to take the F or Q train for hours.

And my mind begins to whirl with the thought of *that* conversation...

"Hey! How do I get to Coney Island?"

"F. Or Q."

"Yeah, well fuck you too!"

(Yeah, I know: *cringe*. This is what being an English major really gets you - a taste for really awful puns.)

The Belt Parkway, any time after 4 pm.

The Hamptons, summer.

The Cross Bronx Expressway

Anywhere with 'EZ Pass'

Can you tell I mostly drive *through* the city?

I'm coming back to this because after the 'your mom' issue you could totally follow up with that here.

EG:

Preston: "That whale is huge." (New Yorkers know what I'm talking about.)
Abe: "Not as big as your mom!"
