I'm a good ol British Bobby on the beat and I've arrested some people for some crazy stuff so I was wonderin who else here has been arrested... the wilder and whackier ones get a free play with my truncheon...

I've only been arrested a few times... arson, being drunk and disorderly, arson while being drunk and disorderly, vandalism, vandalism while being drunk and disorderly, vandalism by setting something on fire while being drunk and disorderly... uhm... homocide... by killing someone with a trash can while being drunk and disorderly and then setting the trash can on fire...

Just kidding, I got a warning once for riding my bike in a pedestrian only area and that pretty much sums it up... and I got a ticket once for going through a red light and then getting hit by a car...

Okay, here goes:

I got arrested and tortured by the Ukrainian army once, when I was about Aramor's age. Apparently, me and my girlfriend crossed a border while we were hiking in the woods in Slowakia without noticing it. Next thing we knew, we got arrested by some soldiers and then a completely drunk sergeant ordered them to beat us up - giving me the chance to experience being smacked in the head with a rifle. Hence I don't like guns and soldiers.

They kept us for the night, then kicked us over the border again. We had to spend a day in a Slowakian police-station where they were playing horrible jazz music and we stole all the food that was in the fridge. In the evening we were told to leave the country and got a stamp in our passport prohibiting us to enter the country for the next three years. And up till today, I still haven't got a clue what that was all about...

hmm, i got arrested once...for stealing a pineapple with a buddy when we were both drunk at a town festival...

they questioned us a little and a few weeks later the charges were dropped and we got away with a warning.

but seriously, it was a freakin pineapple! the owners of the stand didn't even want the police to make a big deal out of it...

I arrested someone once for slapping someone in the face with a wet haddock... the charges were dropped tho. the offendor told his version of the story...he had bought himself tea for the night and some yob had been taunting him while walking home. So when the yob came within striking distance the man whipped out his fish and repeatedly beat the young lad round the head with it. The lad confessed that he had been taunting him...

my father's C.O. or a Correction's Officer. He patrols the inmates and he used to work in this huge pen called Riker's Island. Khushi and probably Bernieh knows what I'm talking about. Everyone in NY knows Rikers. But now he's working the courthouse in the Bronx. So I don't think I'd ever get arrested. Lol.

See, if you get thrown in prison over in the UK you get loadsa shit... u get paid for the time you do, sometimes u might get a TV in your room, playstation, taken on holiday, fed 3 times a day, medical treatment... I'm bein serious... hell, there's now a load of cases where prisoners are suing the government because they aren't allowed to take drugs and it;s against their 'Human Rights'... What we need is American punishment...the judicial system over here is beyond control and a comlete joke... the laws protect the guilty and harm the innocent... believe me... I know... and it's frickin frustrating...

Quite a few...And crime rates are probably higher in the US cos there's a lot more people, guns are legal and more people may report them... in my town where I work, for aproximately 65,000 people... on duty we have 8 police officers at any one time... thats the British government for ya... people don't bother reporting crimes anymore because they know we can't do anything about the minor ones...

I meant percentage-wise, of course.

Anyhow, my father is a forensic for the police at a provincial Dutch town and the situation there seems to be similar to the one you describe.

Really. And the original CSI leaves out all the prostitutes provided to the officers as a part of their perquisites. And the free housing, and the free nice cars, and the frequent paid vacations. There are a lot of really cool things.

There are no cop shows, even the reality cop shows, that show what things are really like.

And even here in the US there are homeless types who go to jail on purpose for the benefit of "three hots and a cot".
