I was led to believe that he had been banned from other boards. He certainly seemed to be bragging about that. Maybe he looks at banning as an achievement. I guess when you are a total fucking loser, you get what "triumphs" you can.

Actually, in such cases it's best to PM both moderators. I'm a bit pissed, really, to see how everybody PM'd each other about this but somehow forgot to notify a moderator after it got really bad.
Do not bother Bernie with this kind of thing, he's quite busy. Blaster or me will notify him if necessary.

If you're going to say things like that in public, I think you should also mention names.

I had to wake up at 3 in the morning to take my mother to the hospital (angiogram; wanted to beat Buffalo traffic; she's fine, no blockages!) so while my breakfast was simmering, I went on the board and saved most of the crap that was currently on there at the time..for shits and giggles, and to show proof in case I come across him again (which I am keeping my fingers crossed will not happen, he's just annoying at most...)
Enjoy, I guess, heh. I only saved the HTML, not the images, css, javascript or any other nonsense that really is redundant to keep.
And as a warning, do NOT click any of Jed's links in these saved pages, not unless if you want to learn the same lesson Spideygirl did.

I actually pity the guy. He's probably some smelly 35 year old fat guy who lives with his mother, wears pajamas with the footies, and has no job. He probably just sits there on his computer all day in his dark room just scrolling through forums to see who he could piss off or get upset and feed upon his daily diet of hotpockets and cheetos.
Or he's just some malicious being who takes pleasure in others agitation. Whatever...I still hope he gets hit by a bus.

I just had the same thought. Mostly if they introduce themselves in the proper topics, they're cool and they stay cool. But if their first post is like a serious topic, then they'll turn out to be assholes...

I think the reason why people did not PM the moderators is because it's actually kind of pointless.
I mean, when you go to the forum, anyone can see it's being spammed to oblivion. A PM seems highly redundant.
Now, if you mods started posting phone numbers, then I'll be more than happy to "tell a moderator", hehe.

Well, the way I gather it, this started small. Obviously, in this case in the end no PM was necessary because, as you can see, I took action.
But, since I don't have endless amounts of time (I have a book to write, teaching to do and papers & exams to correct), I may miss something like this starting (because I don't read a certain thread).
In that case, instead of keeping "fighting" someone (who even literally said that the only reason he kept posting was because you responded to him) or PM-ing each other to discuss "fighting-strategies" (the words in quotation marks are uttered in sarcasm-mode), I suggest you just use that energy to PM me and I'll clean up the mess.
You know, that JedChizt was a complete fucktard, of course and only worthy of something in between ignoring and despising, but he had a point when he said "it is only a forum". Because it is. You don't have to "fight" his kind - that attitude only makes it easier for the next fucktard to do something similar.
Oh, and Tinkerjeep did not get banned.

To me, it was kind of like he had just taken a shit in our living room. And I was just picking some of it up and throwing it at him (of course, thoroughly washing my hands afterwards). He tried to throw some of it back at me, but he was such a spaz that he just got more of it on himself, none on me. I was just kinda laughing. I guess I just expected him to get tired of being shit-covered and go away (not realizing at the time that a wardrobe of shit was his style).
It never occurred to me to tell anyone. Certainly not that I should PM a moderator. But then, what do I know?

That was just silliness. I was thinking, you know, that I would say something silly, as if I thought I had the power to get someone banned for no good reason. Like Aramor maybe, or Blaster. Or that Bernieh-whats-his-name guy.
