Ok, Bernie wants to know if anyone has any kind of suggestions regarding the forum. He is considering cosmetic changes but is more interested in functionality issues.
Some hacks can be found at http://phpbbhacks.com/categories.php
There are some skins at http://www.phpbbstyles.com/
Those sites are simply suggestions; feel free to look around more. And of course there is no guarantee that any suggested change will be instituted, but we are open to suggestions nonetheless.

The quick reply option doesn't make any to me. You can't post pictures with it. You must use the old way for that.

What? I can easily make images and such from the quick reply.
Like so:
PooperScooper made the image...oh look! Small text! And I am using the quick reply!
I think the forum is fine as it is. The reason I am saying this is because heavily modded phpbbs are hard as hell to upgrade. But if I see something that's a must-have, I'll drop a line. ;P

Ive never really found any problems with the function of the forum, and the quicktext is a nice extra. I think some cosmetics are overdue to mark this out as AlP

You can go to profile to fix that. Scroll down a bit to Super Quick Reply MOD and set quick reply mode to advanced.

On another forum I post at they have a "Newest posts (sorted by post time)" box.
It shows you the 40 newest answered posts (from any section) in one box at the top of the forum index.
It just means you don't have to go to different forum sections to see which topics are active.
They also have a "Shout box" which is kind of front page instant messenger sort of thing...but I'm not keen on that, it has too much flaming and backbiting...I prefer my flaming and backbiting in the topics.
