Right, random poll:
You're sitting outside enjoying the (finally) lovely weather, with a nice glass of wine (or tipple of your choice).
You reach for your glass and discover that a bug has died (happily) in your drink. Do you:
a) Discard the drink and get a new one
b) Fish the bug out and keep drinking
or
c) Keep drinking, and enjoy the extra protein _________________ ++?????++ Out of Cheese Error. Redo From Start. |

I'ld enter my house, scoop the bug out, and dip in into my fishtank. Chomp. _________________ Certified Evil Bastard. Serving your cuppa at Starbucks Terminal One Arrival Hall, Singapore. The one who started Premium Evil's tea. |

| That's what I said. If it was a regular ant, sure, I would still eat it. If it were a beetle, porabably. If it were a damn fire ant, hell no. |

What the hell would I be doing outside? The only time I'm outside is when I'm going to or leaving the bar... _________________

Aramor you drunk, lol.
I would get a new drink. Cause bugs other than slugs and worms are gross. _________________

| Over in Asia they aren't. Ask whoever is from Asia here. I eat bugs if they're in the way. Not if I want to. Besides, think of brain food! |

If it were something nasty, like, say, Budweiser, I would be glad for the excuse to dump it out.
But since you stipulated the "tipple of my choice", I ain't gonna waste none!
And on that note, I will be driving to Houston tomorrow for my best friend's wedding, which will give me the opportunity to pick up some of my favorite beer in the whole wide world, St. Arnold Amber Ale!!

It would be awkward finding an alien in my drink.
I'd probably dump it. _________________ Only the strongest will survive.

Really depends on the bug and where I might be drinking.
Usually I'd just fish the little fucker out and happily keep chugging down the liquid, but if it's a wasp, I'm not touching it. I don't care if the chance of getting stung if small and it doesn't really hurt that much. Those things freak me out.
Also, if I'm by myself, or outside a bar or something, I'll fish it out. However, I'm still too much of a pussy to completely ignore what people think of me, so if I'm in the company of one of those prissy yuppie assholes, that are dumb enough to pay me for ruining their property, I'll just leave the glass there. _________________ bitchez n hose |

| Wasps? God damn those things creep the hell out of me. I would gladly smack it with the book I would be reading, and if it's still not dead, I'm going to go Jedi on it with my Lightsaber (Ok, so it's not real, but I technically bought a two-sided one and re-built it with some new stuff in it. Like high temperature). If that still doesn't work, screw it, I didn't start a drawing for nothing. |

Well, (b) is what I do generally.
It appears, by the standards of this forum, that this practice, if uncouth, is at least widespread.
I'd also always assumed that the alcohol sterilized the bug cooties to some extent, although that's probably only the case with straight 100+ proof liquor. It would be a fun experiment to plate out buggy vs. bug-free wine, and see what grows... _________________ ++?????++ Out of Cheese Error. Redo From Start. |

| Hmm. Really? I always thought of bugs being cleaned when in some sort of liquid. Damn, if I was wrong, I have a sh*t load of bacteria from the past bugs I've eaten. Heheheh. Might of caused my darker skin, but screw that, I think it looks sort of cool. And I'm different from most people giving me my personality. |
