Spring break... um... um, I don't have spring break.. mainly because there are no seasons in Singapore..

Tends to be a week long break in the middle of the spring semester to give students, well, a break from school work and classes. Some people go to places like South Padre Island (in southern Texas) to party for the week.
But for some of us, it just means a chance to catch up on school work and maybe get some sleep.

I have never heard that before. But, then again, my spring breaks have usually been early or mid March. Have also always gotten off Good Friday and Easter Monday as a separate break. But maybe you jest or it's different in Canadia.
