IRON MONKEY!!! !!! I first saw Iron Monkey at the same film festival where I first saw Drunken Master II. Which all added up to the greatest week of movie-going of my entire life.
Now I am old and jaded and afraid that I'll never have another new film genre discovery as life-changing as that festival was. |

1. Overall
True Grit, Snatch, Angela's Ashes, Office Space
2. Comedy
Uncle Buck (John Candy is a comedic God), Airplane, Kentucky Fried Movie (Nothing beats the "Urban Daredevil"), Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, UHF. On a side note, my fave romantic comedy is Only the Lonely
3. Drama
Payback (Mel Gibson's finest hours IMHO), Requiem for a Dream, Big Fish.
4. Action
This will probably sound sad but any of the Darkman series, and the first two Robocops.
5. New York
Ladder 47 (I think that's the number) Was Goodfellas in New York?
6. Animated
By far Heavy Metal, followed closely by The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat
7. Don't know who she is
8. I don't recall the name, but it involved Alyssa Milano and Vampires
9. Sports
A League of Their Own (Geena Davis is Smokin'), Days of Thunder, Kingpin
And Now, my own category
10. Best Nude Scene (Male or Female)
Blown Away (Nicole Eggert pre-implants. Scrumptous!)
I'd also add an Honorable mention for History of the World part 1 and Spaceballs.
Granted there hasn't been a post in this thread for a bit, but I figure what the hell. aLp rocks! Keep up the funny work!
Until Later Days,

2. Comedy - Hmm. Most "comedies" I like are either "dramadies" or "black comedies." Office Space is definitely one I can watch 90 times and it'll always be funny. Dr. Strangelove has to be mentioned. I'm sure I'm forgetting lots here.
3. Drama - Lawrence of Arabia, The Godfather
4. Action - Drunken Master II and Aliens are good nominations... I'll throw in The Empire Strikes Back, Face/Off and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
5. New York - Manhattan shows off the city best; Do the Right Thing probably understands it best. RIP Ossie Davis.
6. Animated - I'd have to say the best superhero movie ever, The Incredibles.
7. Erotic thriller starring Shannon Tweed - They have titles?
8. Erotic thriller not starring Shannon Tweed - Poison Ivy: The Neil Sedaka | same heere _________________ whats that noise?....OH SHIT!!!its a facehugger hel...... |
