Hi guys, I'll be venturing out to california this summer to visit family. im from the UK. I have a one night layover and I was wondering if there was a low cost option for getting to manhattan from JFK. I'd like to see hook and ladder number 8. a taxi will cost about 40 bucks each way, if im lucky.
Does the airport have a subway or anything?
Love the comic. |

it has the amtrack, i believe. and a newly built train (forgot what its called..) running from JFK to Jamaica, Queens.. Sutphin Blvd.
from there, you can take the L.I.R.R. to Penn Station in the city, which would cost a few bucks. if not.. the subway: the E and the J train are there too -- just two bucks for the rides. _________________ Yours Queen of Cloud 9

Probably your best bet is to take the airport shuttle for $15 it'll leave you right in midtown. I assume you'll have luggage, and us locals get annoyed at tourists with big suitcases on the subway. Plus you have to get it up and down stairs. _________________ "You have to quote from books to look clever. You can't quote from films. If you quote from films you just look like a geek." |

| Re the luggage, agreed. I was hoping to store it with the airline or something. Thanks for the info. It is most helpful. |
