This is an interview with Pete Hines, a guy at Bethesda, the company that's making Oblivion (the game after Morrowind). Incidentally, Bethesda also owns the rights to Fallout. Myself, I hadn't heard a word about whether they even planned to make a game in the Fallout universe.

I know that this interview is mostly about Oblivion, but check that last question.

About fucking time!

Hopefully they have at least some of the old crew doing it. I really don't think it'll be the same with a whole set of new people. Hell, there's the actual possibility that they'll go Episode I on it(yes, that's a real term now). They might go for a whole new demographic.

They might fuck it up!

But still, I share your sentiments.

Oh man! Can't wait to see some screen shots!

I have faith in Bethesda, they do some good work, however, I do want to be cautious. There were other that suffered a through a company change. MOO3 was a letdown, and KOTOR was extremely buggy.

That's old news... if you regularly check Fallout related forums or read gaming magazines, you would've known this 3 months ago already...

Dude, I absolutely LOVED Daggerfall!

But yeah, it was buggy as hell. Morrowind had serious memory leak issues too.

But... Fallout wasn't exactly the pinnacle of bug-free gaming either.

Regardless, it was insanely awesome.

While we may have to keep our fingers crossed about Bethesda learning how to program w/o bugs, I think it'd be pretty safe to assume that they'll deliver a sweet gaming experience.

Give the magnitude of the projects, bugs are hardly surpriseing.

On a side not: I hope Bethesda will implement their new AI developed for The Elder Scrolls Oblivion in Fallout 3.
