It's like opera, only instead of having people with eating disorders screaming at eachother, in italian, it's got folks trying to convince other people that they themselves aren't idiots.

That's the point. Folks with a well rounded sense of humor don't experience so many unpleasantries because they don't get bent out of shape when someone makes a joke at their expense. Getting offended by someone trying to inject a little mirth into a discussion does no one any good. Sometimes it's in the best interests of public harmony to be a grown up and simply ignore the comments that one finds offensive.
Bottom line: overly sensitive people can often ruin perfectly good threads. _________________ "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."

Thanks for advice. From now on I'll simply ignore all the annoying posts. Starting with yours. _________________

You know, there's a romanian saying : Cine pleaca la plimbare pierde logica de postare. Or , in English: keep in touch with the threads! _________________

There's kind of an urban legend over here that alleges the Ikea stuff is made elsewhere, then sent to Sweden to be packaged (and given the silly names... Sorry, Sweden, but that's a table, not a snorri snurwiggly, k?), then sent to distribution centres where it gets all the relevent paperwork as though it is all made in Sweden.
Makes you wonder if there's a sweatshop somewhere in the far east with lots of hard-working asian dudes who have all had to change their names to Sven, or Gustav... ok, I'm out of Swedish names. |

I assume he was trying to say "Sore bits", indicating that he'd been dragging himself around his panda den by his black and white genitals in a fit of masturbatory fervour.
'Cos, like, that's the most likely explanation, no? |

Fuck you all.
It would be björn, not bjorn. Pjotr is as Russian as Putin. Beowulf is an old English epic and its main character, Beowulf was Danish. Da-nish, okay?!
Thor is English, which comes from the old Norse name þor (indeed, the god of thunder). þor is still a quite common name in Iceland, but you won't find it in Sweden. The closest I can think of is Tore...

If you really thought all Ikea furniture was made in Sweden you're as if not more silly as the person who thought Pjotr is a swedish name.
Sweden has among the highest wages in Europe and the world - Ikea furniture is among the cheapest quality furniture you'll find. You don't need a degree in economics to figure out the improbability of that furniture being produced in Sweden. _________________ The Justified Ancient of Mu Mu
