before i left school for the holidays my friend, joe, started to get depressed and and when school ended, he was still depresed. but over the past six weeks i have been having dreams that when i go back to school he has gone back to normal and is no longer depressed. i have them about once or twice a week. what would say about these dreams i keep having?

Is he still in this episode of depression? If so, I think that it would be what you want to happen, what you're hoping for. If not, then I have no idea.
I had a bad dream about work the other night. I've determined that it is further proof of work being evil.

Unfunny answer: Without knowing too much about your and Joe's relationship, difficult to say. If you're really close, on an empathic level, you could be seeing his situation as one step from yours, and the dreams are a caution, subconscious-stylie. The dreams themselves might be some kind of blue-print for you to avoid the funk. Not funk music, you understand, but the deep blue funk of depression. Don't avoid funk music. Avoid easy-listening elevator jazz.
Don't take anything I say too seriously.

| Dreams are random. They are influenced by your moods, your thoughts. Things that are preoccupying you. They usually don't mean much. People assign meanings to their dreams, but really they're just your unconscious mind going crazy while you sleep. Sometimes they can be manifestations of unkown desires or perversions of real memories. Don't worry too much about it. |

Well, let me just get serious... I think half of my desires are indeed perverted (the other half is just wanting other people to be happy, and the desire to have some new game for my PS2 or so) but most of my memories are not. So yes, I admit I have a sick mind (and yes helmet boy, you can quote me on this) and I also admit I don't care. Sometimes my twisted ideas actually turn me on.
Well, enough of me opening my soul to you guys caus you'll all just grab it and put it in a cookie making machine to create Aramoreos...
