That...is seriously...too cool. It's like an origami predator. But with cardboard. It's really quite ingenious, I wonder how long it took them to make. And I hope it doesn't get rained on.

Call me strange but, personally, I like the cardboard Pred a little more than the metal sculpture Pred that probably took a lot longer to make.

....if only I had the money to put that xeno in my room... guess I'll just have to attempt my own. Confused

I actually know one of the students who helped make the giant cardboard predator (it wasn't one person, it was a class effort).

She and her partner were the ones who made the hip or a thigh I think.

Aahh!!! I made the left part of the crotch! Very Happy

I think we had about two weeks to actually make this project, which was about 6 class days. We measured our pieces first and did drawings of them and then we started cutting out the cardboard and stuff.

Good times with the glue gun I tell you... it was a bitch putting him together, but he stayed up for about a month last spring until he fell apart! Razz

It was outside Hopkins Hall (one of the art buildings) at Osu from the middle of March to the middle of April 2005.

This is sooo cool to see it on alp... and that metal one is pretty fricking sweet. Smile
