Been playing this game recently and I've discovered that it's a heck of a lot of fun. Playing through it, I discovered that there are a lot of stylistic similarities between this game and the Fallout rpgs. Tons of hilarious sci-fi, geeky insider jokes and absurdly hilarious dialog options all around. I really was seeing a lot of similarities between this game's style of humor and Fallout's, so I looked into it, and lo and behold, three of the creators involved were Tim Cain, Leonard Boyarsky, and Jason Anderson, all of whom were involved in the Fallout games.
Pros: hilarious dialogue, lots of creative nuances.
Cons: damned short game, and buggy too.
Still, if you're a fan of games with ridiculous dialogue, give the game a try and play as a Malkavian (vampire clan that's batshit crazy). I'm still giggling at some of the crap my character said today. _________________ The official MILF-masta of the AlP forums.

I've owned a copy of that game for a year and I still haven't got around to playing it. Aramor and sal, you should be able to pick up a copy pretty cheaply given that the developers went bust a long time ago. I bought a copy when it was only a few weeks old for less than £10 (15 euros). _________________

The types of vampires you can play are
Brujah: good all around fighters
Gangrel: Shapeshifters, excellent unarmed fighters
Ventrue: Socialites. Meh.
Malkavians: Batshit crazy! The most fun, by far!
Nosferatu: Ugly nightstalkers, I haven't gotten around to playing these guys through yet.
Toreader: Socialites. Meh.
Tremere: Blood mages. Haven't played the game through with them yet.
Seriously, the dialog I had as a Malkavian for one encounter went just like this:
Me: "HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!"
NPC: "..."
Me: "HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!"
NPC: "..."
Me: "HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!"
NPC: "..."
Me: "HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!"
NPC: "..."
Me: "HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!"
NPC: "...damn Malkavians..." _________________ The official MILF-masta of the AlP forums.

Fallout and Fallout 2 are the very best RPGs I've ever played in terms of dialogue, writing, and backstory. My personal opinion is that Fallout 2 in particular is the best RPG I've ever played. There exist more recent RPGs with superior graphics and combat, but I've never played any game all the way through more than Fallout 2 (9 times). Runner up for playthroughs, FF6 with 7. I'd recommend playing them in chronological order, though, because the sequel is better, and you won't appreciate every little nuance in the first one if you play the second one first. _________________ The official MILF-masta of the AlP forums.

First of all, it's MK72 Gauss Rifle... second of all, .223 FMJ is much more common than 2mm EC. Unless you wanna loot the Oil Rig... I found like 700 2mm EC overthere. _________________

What do you mean, sophisticated clan?
Maybe it's about time i grab that copy of Bloodlines, and enough of playing as the Crusader. _________________ Certified Evil Bastard. Serving your cuppa at Starbucks Terminal One Arrival Hall, Singapore. The one who started Premium Evil's tea. |

"sophisticated" was the first word on my mind, "socialites" as crotchfire called it, whatever you call it it's those vampires that just dress fashionably, and look gothic, and drink virgin blood from crystal glassess, and talk about philosophy and stuff... you know, teh ghey vampires. _________________ i have no time for anal love

"The M72 rifle is of German design. It uses an electromagnetic field to propel rounds at tremendous speed... and pierce almost any obstacle. Its range, accuracy and stopping power is almost unparalleled. Min ST: 6."
Note that in the quote it says "M72" not "MK72"? unless of course there are small differences in certain versions of the game.
2mm EC isn't that hard to find, cause once you get the damn gun, you can hunt Enclave guards without all that much trouble around Navarro... assuming you built your character like mine. Traits: Fast Shot, Gifted. Perks: Bonus rate of fire, Bonus Ranged Damage(2), Sniper, Action Boy (2), Gain Agility, Awareness.
3 Critical hits per turn with the M72 Gauss rifle is enough to take down most things. MUHAHAHAHA!! _________________ The official MILF-masta of the AlP forums.

Ok, you're right... it's just that when I looked the weapon up in Per's Nearly Ultimate Fallout 2 Guide (scroll down a bit and you'll find it) (which most people know as the best there is) it said MK72 Gauss Rifle... well, now we know where the Nearly comes from
As a punishment, I'll go live in Vault City next week. _________________

Ahh, teh ghey ones! Should have mentioned earlier. Haha.
What are the Brujah like in modern times? We know Christof and his Crusader-ly self as a Brujah, but I'm betting there's a difference to the Brujah then and the Brujah now. _________________ Certified Evil Bastard. well, shouldn't modern brujah be all about rebellion and revolution and defiance of authorities? that's to the best of my knowledge anyway, which is based entirely on vampire:the masquerade rpg, but since i don't know the pc game in question i don't know if there were modifications made to clan features. _________________ i have no time for anal love
