Hating XP is the new black.

But seriously, all stupid teasing aside, XP isn't based on DOS? This is somewhat new to me...I do have DOS on my computer, or I wouldn't be able to run most of the programs I have on it on it. So how can my system use DOS if Windows XP doesn't come with it? Wouldn't the system get bitchy if I had two Operating Systems on it? I mean, DOS can be counted as an OS, right?

As far as I know DOS is an OS, but Windows XP doesn't have DOS but rather a compatibility program that lets it run DOS programs. I think DOS was droped right after Windows 98... But I'm not sure.

in fact, windows 2000 uses DOS.....

but i thnk thats the last one...

dosent XP use BIOS?
