my father got me a graphire bluetooth 6x8 drawing tablet. It was an expensive gift but at the same time, it was the cheaper version of the one I wanted.
I told him I REALLY wanted the intuos 3 drawing tablet. I even showed it to him and explained the difference between the graphire and intous... but he got me the cheapo graphire one ($100 less) that has to be returned because i don't have bluetooth on this computer, and i don't want to have to get an adapter.
I know I should be thankful, it is an expensive gift ($245) and although I am grateful to get a drawing tablet, he still opted to get me the cheaper-can't-use-it one rather then the better quality one.
This was also the only gift he got me.
Really now, i know I sound like an asshole... but I KNOW he got me the cheap one just because it was cheaper.
You'd understand if you were in my position... gah x.x

I understand, but what I did was show my father a refurbished Wacom Intuos 6x8 tablet for 100 dollars less and he bought it for Christmas in 2002. It's what I am currently using for my drawings =)
I feel your pain...the graphire is, well...it's crap. It's only meant to be used for touching up photos and to make signatures on documents...not for serious artwork that requires more pen sensitivity.
If you can, return it, and buy a refurbished Intuos. I am using the first series, which doesn't include the snazzy mouse...but in reality you don't need it. The pen pressure is the same as the second and third series.
