Ah, another fan of Lovecraft's fiction? Which version of the Necronomicon are you trying to obtain, if I may ask?
|
Quite honestly, I have no idea whatsoever. There isn't much indication on which version it is, except for a picture of the cover.
Good thing I don't care much. _________________ bitchez n hose |

*urk* No red bull please....maybe a Java Chip Frapp. I've tried almost every energy drink out there, none of them give me so much as "typo syndrome". _________________ Earth first....we'll screw up the other planets later.

Red Bull's a bit nasty. The few times I do have those energy drinks, it's usually Sobe No Fear because it's roughly the same price as Red Bull, comes in a bigger can, and tastes somewhat better.
I'm adding to my answer:
Money for automotive repairs (i.e. transmission stuff)
Books, more books, and movies
Hm. That really isn't very specific or all that fun, is it? _________________ "Yeast devil! Back to the oven that baked you!" |

Ipsa, you put up a good fight. But I have bested you.
i.e. (id est) means "in other words".
e.g. (exempli gratia) means "for example", which is what you wanted there.
Call me when you're ready to play for real. |

What if, in the sentence Ipsa wrote, she really meant something like:
| Quote: | | Money for automotive repairs ([which, in my case, at this moment in time, means] transmission stuff) |
?
I'm not trying to outsmart you (or Ipsa), since I really stand no chance against giants like you (now, if it were Dutch or Swedish, I could put up a good fight as well), but there are situations in which there can be some doubt whether the one or the other should be used. I tend to make a similar mistake with viz., but sometimes I'm not quite sure whether I really made a mistake or not. It depends, I think. _________________ The Justified Ancient of Mu Mu |

Id est works as it means "that is" and is quite what I wanted. My mistake was that I made "automotive repair" a plural when I should have used the singular instead.

Shouldn't there have been a comma in between Ergo and the? _________________ The Justified Ancient of Mu Mu |

Desk chair received, as well as a new kick arse corner desk. Was a bitch to put together though.
Still thinking about the cell phone, but the bread machine is a must!

Thank you everyone that helped out! We exchanged gifts over the weekend, and she really liked the CDs I got her. I remembered a singer she told me about, when we first started seeing each other, that she said had a good voice, but she only had one song of hers. Well, I got her a CD from that girl and a couple other CDs I thought she might like. She thought it was awesome that I remembered that girl's name this whole time and she liked all the CDs. Great suggestion! Thanks! _________________

Dude, that's so cliche... my christmas wish is world domination... meaning that I have dominated the world...
Me and a buddy are actually gonna do that, but right now it's the busy period at school, so we'll do it maybe next month... _________________
