Behold!!
Okay, so from the reviews it looks like the so-called Director's Cut won't really be anything special. I sort of expected that. I would love to believe that a whole part of the storyline was cut out of the film and that it was pared down from R to PG13 on the demand of the studio, but from what I've read, contrary to Paul Anderson's claims, there really wasn't all that much to cut out. Still, I think I will probably be a total sucker and spring for it. I almost have to, if only to satisfy my curiosity.
Anybody else hear about it?

I already have my normal copy on DVD, saddly no one told me about a director's cut  Oh and for the love of god Holly asked if anyone had heard of it not what you think about paul anderson or the movie, yes we get it, you don't like 'em, but I do so give it a break, weve had a discussion about this a while back.

Well, I've got the 2 disc special edition with the alternative beginning and that one is ± 96 minutes long. The one you have there is 101 minutes long... I don't exactly know what I'm trying to point out here but I just thought I'd mention it...

You arn't missing anything from this "director's cut". All of the stuff that was put back in is diddly-swat and it's not worth buying it if you already bought the first DVD when it first came out. All of the "making-of" features are already easily and readily available on the internet (such as on planetavp).

What are you talking about? AvP was a great movie. Coulda been better (maybe the sequel will be), but it was good.

yeah, i liked the action sequences, LOVED the predators and the aliens, and didn't give a rats ass about the humans. i cried when scar died and when sebastian (whom is now competing w/ orlando bloom as my all-time fav hottie) died, i couldnt have cared less. and the story and charaters were nothing but a complete pile of shit.

Drawback to the xenomorphs is that they don't get better with time, an experienced predator can take a hole troupe of xenos without much sweat.
