I would save the child for two reasons: Firstly, I think that's the right thing to do. And secondly because if I was married, it would be to the kind of woman who would want me to save the kid and not her.

This is a no brainer. My kid. It would be what both of us would want.
The way I figure, any parents that aren't willing to sacrifice everything for their kid aren't good parents.

That's true, but you shouldn't be a parent if you won't sacrifice your life for your child. Period.
In fact, noone in this thread should be able to talk about this. If you have a spouse and a kid, then your opinion has weight. But since none of us (I'm assuming none of us cause alot of us here are pretty young) do, our opinion means crap.
But I would think a human being created through the love and flesh and blood of you and your spouse would be well worth saving for the sacrifice of each other.
