Mind you, these appear in a daily quality newspaper, so I really do not have to put them in NSFW, but then again - you anglo-saxons tend to be a bit more sensitive about these things.

Oh, I don't know. Most of them have me literally laughing my head off.

Though I have to admit the first page does not contain the best. But I think the woman on the telephone while she's raped by a deer-like animal saying " How would I know...An ibex, I think" on the third page is hilarious. Or the man with only a shirt on leaving his wife with the words "I want to live like Donald Duck kiddo - without pants and without you" on the fourth page.

If these don't translate well, well, than that's a loss to the world. Although it is an acquired taste, I think. The Volkskrant, in which these are published, gets angry subscribers on the phone everyday. But I think most of these cartoons are just brilliant.

What would you say, Aramor?

Yeah, I especially like how they take the story from the previous cartoon and continue with that, without any continuity errors what so ever.

Draw a cartoon with nudity/shocking-antics-that-make-me-think-about-what-I'm-supposed-to-feel-and-wind-up-laughing-because-I-don't-understand-the-punchline-or-think-it-a-dumb-joke-but-laugh-anyway-so-I-can-hide-in-obscurity-with-others-that-are-also-laughing-because-they-don't-understand-the-cartoon-either-but-don't-want-to-be-ostracised-by-the-one-person-that-does-understand-the-cartoon?

What was once five is now six. Approval rating drops to 1/7. I see a number of reasons why this happened.

1. The humor is too circumstantial to cross over borders. Though the artstyle (i.e. lack therof) appears incapable of referencing anything, discrediting this idea.

2. Munan has a poor sense of humor. I really doubt this since he did pen that awesome fan-comic with Holly a while back.

3. Whoever translated it is a fucking retard of epic proportions with little grasp on the concept of language.

4. Munan is being forced at gun-point to advertise this stuff to feed some psychopath's delusional ego.

5. Munan posted the wrong link and for some reason will not edit the url.

6. Munan is the author. And he didn't write that fan-comic I mentioned earlier.

7. Munan is the author's friend/relative/abused partner.

8. Either Digit or Aramor, or perhaps both, has been a very, very bad influence on Munan.

9. The Finnish are making the Dutch weird.

10. The Dutch were/are fucking weird without any help.

11. All of the above. Hypothoses 6 and 7 may not be mutually exclusive. If that's thecase it would explain a lot.

I'm really, genuinely surprised none of you likes these. And Simon, you forgot a Jekyll/Hyde scenerio in your list of reasons. Makes awesome fan comics, then turns around and posts a link to horrible cartoons.
