What was disturbing/scary today?

So, I was listening to the (news) radio [actually it was just playing and I was hearing it], a report of a murder came up and the description of the victim came up and alerted me because the victims name and age where the same of one of my friends.
I have not spoken to this friend in about a week, so I called his house and cell phone several times because as a friend, I showed concern. I recieved no answer, so I continued having my swell day in a slight mortified manner, then I get called 3 hours later and my friend asked why I called him so much, I responded by telling him I thought he was murdered and we both laughed it off and agreed to meeting each other for lunch.

This morning I got out of bed at 10 am.

WHAT THE HELL!!! I've got nothing to do all day, normally I don't even wake up before 12 and yesterday it was late and I had quite some beer. And here I am... awake. And not hungover or anything.

So, I know this post is about what was disturbing/scary today, but it happened yesterday, and I didn't really feel like posting it.

Anyway, I mentioned I live on a houseboat right? Well, yesterday morning, an apparently heavily depressed guy decided to jump off of our boat, into the water with a weighted backpack. He left behind a wife and 2 children.

It was a really weird and disturbing way to start the day.

Because we actually live pretty secluded. About 80% of our town doesn't even know we've got houseboats I think. Most of the cops and firemen present yesterday were here for the first time.

I dreamed about God last night. God called me up and talked English with a heavy Hindi accent. He wanted me to dial 0900-T.R.U.T.H.

It was a spamming God. When I did not dial that number He started to send me pictures of horrible war crimes and tortures (mothers being forced to eat their own daughters) by e-mail.

Well, apparently not, because after having succesfully blocked him for, oh, six years by now, he starts calling me up in my dreams.

But I don't understand what point He was trying to make by sending me pictures of atrocities...

But it probably just proves you shouldn't eat heavily before going to bed. Gives you weird dreams.
