I think Nron really ought to put more effort into his posts, since on this forum it's generally considered a bit rude not to at least check for spelling and grammar mistakes before posting. If he wants to fit in a bit more, that's as good a place to start as any, I'd say. Of course not everybody can be as perfect in spelling and grammar as, say, Ipsa (I know that I'm not, by Jove!) - but a lot of the mistakes he makes could be prevented by a quick check before pressing that 'submit' button.
But yeah, I think by saying that you've made your point by now I think I also meant to say that that particular pony is about to breathe its last breath - no need kicking it much more.

I don't see what the huge deal is. I mean, sure, a lot of you guys use English as a second language and correct spelling and grammar would be nice, but the fact that you were able to correct him shows that you understood what he was saying. I mean, I hate bad grammar as much as the next guy, but I've seen much worse. I'm not siding with anyone here, just thought I'd throw that out there.
It's not like he's that one guy who used 1337 all the fucking time. Or maybe I'm thinking of a different forum... |

But that's not the point, you see. People are not irritated by incorrect spelling and bad grammar because it makes posts ununderstandable to them. Aurelyn is from Ireland, for instance, Sal is an English teacher Aramor went to a school where most classes were given in English, Angelus comes from Singapore where English is one of the official languages and I have been reading English books and comics since I was twelve.
The reason people like correct spelling and grammar here - I guess - is because it shows that you are putting some effort in your posts, which is a sort of decency towards your fellow posters. Like table manners, you know. You won't get kicked out of most restaurants if you eat with one hand under the table, stuffing your face with your other hand - but you will get frowned upon by your companions if they're the kind of people who consider such behaviour rude.
Likewise, there is no rule against using incorrect spelling and bad grammar on these forums - but apparently, people frown upon that. Whether you agree with that or not, to persist in such behaviour will not win you their hearts. I know some people who think table manners are stupid, but I also know those are not the people I would invite to join me to a chic restaurant.

Then again, I'm pretty sure the answer to that, whatever it may be, wouldn't solve the problem here. But let's just be greatful that he isn't this guy.

Actually my computer does have a online spell checker. Weird thing is it dosn't work on this site.
Go figure.
@Munan: Why would I want to fit in? Hell I barely fit in in Japan when I lived there. Then again, a 6'11" Caucasian, who can actually use chopsticks and knows most of the customs, is pretty strange.
