Not liking the new approach. Seems like yet another case of dumbing down for the dipshits. Which is funny because they wouldn't touch any strategy game with a barge pole. _________________

Well, it seems like they are trying to mix RTS and RPG for the single-player modes. I am hoping that the multiplayer remains relatively intact. _________________ Context is everything. |

I'm all for levelling up and unit veterancy, but I'd like to choose what squads I deploy, rather than be forced to play the game according to the will of the designer. RTS Multiplayer (aka "who's got the most successful build queue to quickly spam your most effective unit at the enemy?") concerns me not.
Although the MP in DOW2 does sound a bit like Ground Control/World in Conflict etc. Here's hoping. _________________

Well, the 1st Edition Warriors look really stupid and were poorly made. I did the best that I could with it; I even made extra eyes for Enhanced Senses. Now I only have three more of these to paint...

I didn't feel like painting another warrior, so I went for the brood nest. I might make some changes later.

That is awesome. Are those Gaunts (I think they're Gaunts) supposed to come out there or did you put them in? _________________

Thanks.
@Aramor: the emerging hormagaunts are part of the model; I wish I had time to do that kind of modding.
I was actually hoping that people would make some suggestions regarding the brood nest; I was thinking of adding some more colors or highlights or something. Of course, I probably won't get any time to do more painting for another two weeks or so... _________________ Context is everything. |

Well, I haven't painted miniatures since I was about half the age I am now, but I'd say more highlights would be a good idea. I always liked to exaggerate them, go slightly lighter even than what the experts recommended. Good highlighting and some strong contrast with the darker, recessed parts of the miniature/model are what makes them look the business, IMO. _________________

I hope they change it. it looks like a generic B grade scifi flick alien nest. i think i drew something like that when i was 12.
But yeah. what i wanna see is unit costomization. What I mean is being able to choose a unit as your CO that you control from a third OR first person view. Think about it. Choosing a Eldar Sniper and going on solo fire missions. I know thatd take awhile but hey, we have at least 4 more years till 2012. And no i dont believe that the world end on 2012. if anything thats when the zombie virus breaks out. _________________ Clueless and the Grammer Unerwnschte
